"Father" for 25 years! I have a Step-Father and I really love him like crazy! Wish I could call HIM "Dad"! I'm afraid it might freak him out, though. But HE HAS BEEN MY DAD FOR ABOUT 30 YEARS!
I know it sounds harsh but, I don't like to compromise my morals for anyone.
u can really see the difference......cant u?
"Blood is redder than water" is what they say in Germany, I was born there when my father was in the U.S.Army. It's a proverb (Blut ist dicker als Wasser), which in English speaking countries is "Blood is thicker than water". It generally means that the bonds of family and common ancestry are stronger than those bonds between unrelated people (such as friendship).
It first appeared in medieval times as 'Kin-blood is not spoilt by water.' In 1412. And No, I do not have any information if the saying was first penned by a Vampire, but the name Bram Stoker does come to mind, LOL!
Circa Survive lyrics:
"If blood is thicker than water, then you'll drown quicker than we intended."
