Is not opening your door for an annoying Jehovah's witness "censorship?"

Is turning off your phone to ignore an intrusive caller 'censorship?'

Is walking away from a creepy stranger who's bothering you on the subway "censorship?"

    restraining order

    NO.

If people can still make their own posts, and engage other members in conversation, then their freedom of speech isn't being impeded, no matter how much anyone may whine about it.

Not everyone is going to like each other, or want to talk to each other; that's life.

I don't block for difference of opinion, but when the other person can't handle the other side of things and show their true intolerant, idiotic, full of insult colors then they are done. I don't waste my time on fools.

Not true at all. Some people simply block because they do not want to hear any alternate opinions.

Blocking simply means that you are not interested some of the comments that were shared and you simply don't want to listen to them.
FREE CHOICE. It's not not censorship

Censorship is government sponsored. If you want to block someone that is totally ok. However, I think most that block are chickensh!t.

That is not censoring them. To censor you have to silence them and all you are doing by walking away is ignoring them. Big difference.

Depends on the reason behind it. If it's just because u don't want to hear it than yes. But if you feel that it is more of a case for ur safety then no.

I've never blocked anyone, but I would do it if someone became chronically abusive. It wouldn't prevent them from taking it elsewhere.

Depends on what your getting blocked from, why you are being blocked, and/or who is blocking you. Not all three criteria are necessary.

    No that's there choice.
If they can block others from seeing what you typed, that might be censorship.

I think it can be used that way, for instance by systematically blocking differing points of view from responding to polls, but mostly I think it's a response to frustration or percieved disrespect.
