Is turning off your phone to ignore an intrusive caller 'censorship?'
Is walking away from a creepy stranger who's bothering you on the subway "censorship?"
NO.
If people can still make their own posts, and engage other members in conversation, then their freedom of speech isn't being impeded, no matter how much anyone may whine about it.
Not everyone is going to like each other, or want to talk to each other; that's life.

I try very hard to avoid blocking anybody. I have blocked only two people for serial lying and slandering - but only after many warnings.
I get blocked constantly for clobbering Atheists / leftists in debate. Some people want to lie and slander unchallengeDAW.
Why should anyone have to tolerate someone who is repeatedly belligerent and insulting?
That's based upon an inherent assumption that one is actually dealing with mature adults; quite often that isn't the case, both literally and figuratively.
Some people wont 'allow' anyone to walk away; instead they follow a member from question to question, making disparaging comments and casting aspersions.
That's verbal harassment, its against the terms of service, and taking the necessary steps to prevent it isn't petty.
What's petty, IMO, are all the little point/rave wars and the ceaseless ego conflicts...
It ebbs and flows I guess, but sadly its not just the youngsters who ceaselessly beg for attention.
Much ado about nothing, in the end though.
I'm going to log off now, I have to get up early.
Have a good weekend.
It's best to just ignore than block.
I don't block people I disagree with. I block people who get belligerent and crazy, at that point you are no longer carrying on a conversation or exchange of ideas, so continuing would be pointless.
