being lonely is when you want to be with someone,
being single is like choosing to focus more on yourself.
thats just my oppinion though i do have a friend that says there are times when she feels so happy about being single then she'd have those moments where she just wanted someone to rely on because relying on herself gets tiring at times.

World of difference between alone, and lonely. I was lonely when married, but single, rarely.

The loneliest times are being married and having your spouse occupied in work. It's far lonelier than being single. Being single you can at least do your own thing without any guilt.

You can be single and feel very loved BUT you can be lonely while you're dating someone.

Being lonely means you are without company or cut off from others. Being single means you aren't dating anyone. When you are lonely you have no friends/family/significant others or you feel as though you don't have those people. When you are single you can still have friends and family and feel as though you have people there for you when you need them. The two are very different.

    Absolutely NOT!

    I'm SINGLE (by choice .. )
    single for decades too ..
    quite frankly ..
I am surrounded by .. good friends .. wonderful family members ..
there's a lot of good blessings in going to my own home at the end of the day to relax ..
and I can definitely state ..
    there's no way I am 'lonely' ..
