The answers don't really match the question. Yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I've seen guys I found lovely enough to die for(metaphorically at least) that my friends thought plain or ugly, and visversa, no inner beauty or personality involved, strictly physical. I dislike modern art, but some people love it. I find snakes, hyenas, and vultures beautiful, but many shudder at the sight of them.Everyone has different things which they find pleasing to their eye
Inner beauty is more important because it's shaped by who you are. And whether a person is beautiful on the outside definitely depends on the opinion of the person looking at them.
I seem to find beauty in most everyone....eyes ..smile..the way their face lights up...I believe each of us has our own beauty,, if others only took the time to see it..
I honestly think no one can say that they'd go out with someone right away who was nice but "ugly". those types of relationships take time! although they do seem to last longer than the "i think you're hot... go out with me?" type of relationships.
Yes, inner beauty is important but most people can't HONESTLY say that they pick their boy/girlfriend, lover, partner, husband/wife, for just their personality. You find someone you find attractive enough to have sex with and start for there and if you find their personality appalling you dump them and start over.
External beauty fades with age. A man/woman of worth, who has internal beauty is far more valuable IMHO. Ask those who have chosen a mate based purely on looks, someone who might be shallow and self centered......ask them how good the relationship is years later when they are broken heart'd and broke, and the peacock has moved on to the next sucker lol.............if looks is all your looking for, then you get what you deserve!!!
While inner beauty is most important that isn't what that saying is about.
It means that different people like different things... so some people like a quirky nature and a cheeky smile while others like someone classically good looking.
Some people become more beautiful the longer you know them
