Is anyone on...? I can't think straight, especially at this time.

NumptyNuts 2012/08/10 09:01:01I am+3I am now but I was unable to go online last night. I do my best thinking and writing at night. When I was working in a frantic environment I could not sleep for overthinking the day and planning the next. When I eventually got to sleep I was "transported" to the workplace in my mind and I had done another days work in my sleep. I woke up absolutely knackered. It's a vicious circle. I have found peace by leaving it behind me as the physical and mental stress was taking a terrible toll. I now focus on relaxing and enjoying the simple things in life, like a beautiful sunrise or sunset. My K9s sooth me. I also focus on writing my life experiences for a local paper and my blog. I recommend you find peace in something you have always dreamed of doing and focus on it. See it happening and forget the rest of the things that are clearly a burden. I wish you every happiness in your quest. Big love. MandyX

It can sometimes take me a while...
You are still very young, and presumably have your whole life to live, my advice is to LIVE your life, live your dreams, have a good anchor though, mine is my faith in Jesus. I am living my dream, it has nothing to do with money, that is a false dream, do what you really want to do, live as if this is the last day of your life, but still make plans and have goals, short term and long term goals. A mantra I created when I used to be a trainer at a women's gym:
Where do you want to be tomorrow? Next week? Next month? Next year? In the next 10 years? Setting goals is important, if your goal is nothing, that is exactly what you will achieve.
If you think that setting goals for life is too hard, or things seem too far away, understand that the time will pass whether...

Don't know how much this helps, I hope it helps though. We do have a few things in common, I am very interested in music, I play the piano and just received an acoustic guitar, I will be learning how to play over the next few months. I also enjoy some of the musical artists you like, NIN (mostly their older pc game soundtracks), ICP (hubby got me listening to them), I also like some Anime and I watch The Simpsons.

Volunteering, whether through an organized program, or just seeing a need and offering your assistance is a wonderful thing to do, both for you and the one receiving the help. Just a thought...
Do you play guitar? I come from a very musical family, it's in my DNA, but having such talented musicians around me actually intimidated me and made me scared to play or sing in front of anyone. About a year ago, I wanted to be more involved in the music program of my church, it was very lacking, one to the ways to do that was to learn more about playing the piano, I knew a little but never had lessons. I live in a very rural area so I knew I would have a difficult time finding a piano instructor,so I ordered lessons on line (on DVD). Now, a year later, I am playing piano in church, in front of people (gasp LOL) and even learning to relax and enjoy it.
Now I own an acoustic guitar, inherited it from my dad who just passed away about a week ago, this is the guitar he played when I was a little girl, he said I could have it if I would learn to play it. So that is my mission whe...

So that is my mission when I go home this weekend. I'll be ordering guitar lessons from the same company, I also have a friend who lives nearby who is a good guitar player, I can get help from him too.
I find music to be very therapeutic, so I know I asked you already, but in case you are still reading this and forgot (lol), do you play guitar?
