This is one of those "no duh" studies, but we'll go ahead and tell you about it anyway. A recent study found that men are willing to pay for a date if she’s pretty, How About We reports. Like you didn't already know that ...

But it kind of works both ways. The more attractive a man is, the more women expect him to pay, the study from University of St. Andrews in Scotland found. AND, people who find themselves attractive think they DESERVE to be treated. The nerve!

Here's the good news: If he DOESN'T offer to pay, well, he might be "just not that into you." Which we kind of already figured, but it's a good rule of thumb. And if SHE doesn't expect you to pay, well, she might not think you're all that. Bottom line: Guys, if you like her, and if you think she likes you, you should probably open up the wallet ...

Duh. Men are very looks-oriented. But in MY not so humble opinion, the person who asks should always pay, regardless of looks or gender. So maybe guys should reconsider asking girls they don't think are that pretty if they aren't willing to pay for her dinner. If she asks, however, that is a different story.

This is seriously a ridiculous question. As a young female, it pisses me off a bit that beautiful women are always treated more nicely...
But anyways, it's the way it is, no need to dwell on it. Plus, I'm a girl who likes Star Wars, that beats any beauty, or so I've been told! (j/k, j/k)

I agree with the first part: that attractiveness defines if someone is more willing to pay (or expect to be payed for). BUT, not always.

I was dirt poor and just trying to get by when my love first met me, SHE was taking ME out and paying for our dates, which I felt bad about but she didn't mind. And a few years later, she is still mine, so I am thinking she was into me ;)
