Putting aside all the medical problems she may have, having a child 68 years younger than the mum is stupid, we look after our grandchildren and it is hard work and a pleasure to give them back...lmao

YES! It would be selfish of you to let this happen at such a late age because you're not going to live long enough to share that childs life

While it may be possible to impregnate a 67 yr old woman it probably only can be done with a lot of help from science. Not a good idea for a 67 yr old to start raising a child. She will be close to 88 when the kid is fully grown. Good luck keeping up with the kid.

A woman's body is hers and hers alone. If she's still ovulating and still happy to be a mother, that's her choice and hers alone.

In my experience, people over the age of 49 tend to be more motherly/fatherly. At the very least, the few short years the child has will be worth having spent.

It increases the chance of having a downs baby dramatically, it can cause serious issues with going to the toilet as at that age the bladder is already starting to become very weak, it's quite dangerous

40? Not too old but it's not optimal. 45? Pushing it but still not too old and she takes care of herself extremely well. 50? Depends on how she got pregnant but generally too old to get pregnant ideally. 55? If she gets pregnant naturally than she should tie her tubes after this pregnancy. So not too old as long as it happens naturally. 60? Any pregnancy after this poing should be a surrogacy for another couple. 70? No pregnancy even if it's just being a surrogate.

Hey as long as this grandma thinks its ok then its not my concern really. Personally though if I were a 67 year old woman. I don't think I would still be interested in being a host.

You shouldn't be 85 when your child graduates high school and you can have serious medical problems.

Well I don't think God thought it was to old Abrahams wife who was 90, birthed a nation through Isaac. I believe all life has a purpose. I do not think it is stupid. That statement by your top comment, shows people give no credit to God and his infinite knowledge of life. <><

Not only is she putting her health at risk, she is putting the child's health at risk.

The risk of pregnancy complications increases as the mother's age increases. Risks associated with childbearing over the age of 50 include an increased incidence of gestational diabetes, hypertension, delivery by caesarean section, miscarriage, preeclampsia, and placenta previa. In comparison to mothers between 20 and 29 years of age, mothers over 50 are at almost three times the risk of low birth weight, premature birth, and extremely premature birth; their risk of extremely low birth weight, small size for gestational age, and fetal mortality was almost double.

Why would anyone want to have a child which they would have no reasonable expectation of being able to rear to adulthood, whether by some miracle of modern science or by adoption? Selfish in my opinion.

If you can get pregnant at 67, it's clearly not too old. I get the whole "You'd be dead before they grow up" crud, but does that matter if you love them completely before you go?

Yeah, it's selfish as hell! By the time your kid goes to secondary(high) school, you'll be 80? Really selfish. How can a kid grow up normally like that?

I don't know about that, a lot of women are waiting until their 40's so that their careers and financial status is such that she can devote all her time to the children without so much being in the way.
