I MEANT TO SAY YES) I didn't have my first date till I was Fifteen, plus I knew him for 5 years before I thought that would be even possible to date your childhood friend.

At age 11 I was spending my time at camp, watching kitten videos on my parents computer; which I only had 30 minutes on. Spent my time watching bugs bunny and the tweety show. Going to the dairy queen with my mom. The word dating was in the back of my mind and still is. To be perfectly honest with you I don't want to start dating till I'm 21. Stress free life.

I went out to put ma bin out last night there was a few kids on the grass in front beating each other up, yelling and laughing.. I asked what they was doing they said they where playing a game where a person thinks of a letter and the other people BEAT the letter out of them.. I asked how old they where they where all between 9 and 12.. If they are beating each other up to get letters.. their too young to date..

Then again if the parents are driving them to the movie theatre or have the boyfriend/girlfriend over to watch movies and for dinner then I think it's pretty harmless. But this entirely depends on the maturity and character of the eleven year old.

Because the Grim Reaper doesn't represent any thing to be feared unless it is the fact of fearing death itself which i do not, so I use the name, The Reaper, to represent death that has affected my life. The name holds more meaning behind it then the name of a death angel to me, it sort of defines my life, for everybody that I ever care about eventually dies! I do not fear this but I do acknowledge it, so you asked me why should you believed me. Have you seen what i have seen, i doubt it. I do not doubt that you have some pain in life but not that compares to mine. I look at my life and what has occurred and I have gain wisdom from it, what have you gained! DO NOT question my honesty! I was with someone from 1st grade till he went to middle school, and I know it's to young to date someone that young, but both our mom's said we were just friends that we didn't know what to do or anything and I agree with them. Now day's girls that are 11yrs and older might be getting pregnant, i blame tv and there parents.

Well, it really depends what your exact definition of dating is. For what I define as a date, yes 11 is WAY too young. If your parents are paying for you to go to the movies and driving you there, that's not REALLY dating. More like a playdate.

At least it wasn't for me, but your mileage may vary. I was an exceedingly wild child and so was she. I do mean near feral BTW. I didn't have good parenting and was very close to being hikikomori. Sorry it's a type of being antisocial, but I don't know how to translate it. I found the coyotes were better company, they didn't make fun of my height. She was too, but I don't know why.

At 11 you are in middle school, and even in middle school they have school dances, which boys ask girls to. Usually a girl they really liked. That is a date. And perfectly acceptable for an 11 year old. Now, an 11 year old is too young for serious BF/GF relationships

Most kids I know can certainly cross the street by themselves at 11

I can honestly say I have never met a child that was so sheltered that they had no idea how to safely cross the road by age 11

You are a child- why are you interested in dating at the age of 11? True dating is for adults. I think that 17-18 is a good age for having a serious relationship.

Here are better activities for pre-teens: reading books, playing board games, rollerskating, playing tag, drawing pictures, watching movies, writing stories...

I was allowed to date at the age of 17, but I was reminded to focus on my schoolwork. I wasn't interested though- because I never saw anything appealing about the opposite sex. I think that sexuality is thrust upon teenagers too early, and they're not usually ready for it. Dating leads to sex and intimacy- something that is best left to adults.
