    Since I live in Canada, you are not allowed to attack people that break into your house. Which I think is bull@#$^.

    However if I had the choice I would use one of these with hollow point rounds and aim at least 4 shots in the forehead. You you, just for self defense. :)

    Actually, the best weapon is the one you have in your hand at the moment of need. To the point of the question, though, yes, I own firearms, have taught my family (as well as 10's of thousands of military, law enforcement and civilians) and continue to teach firearms care, handling safety, law and tactics.

    Well, I want to thank everyone for replying and enjoyed them all. I cant see how anyone can live in a country where you cant and don't have the right to defend yourselves. I'm sure the criminal elements just love it. I am so glad I live right in West Texas where defending ones home is a premium right and done so with a right and gladly......... But, being a border state we do get the occasional bad element waltzing right on in and attempting to help themselves. But, normally there intent is to harm for good. They don't want any witnesses to identify them. We get the criminals from Old Mexico, the mentally ill, and the drug cartel types. Mexico encourages them to leave and even gives them booklets on how , what to say and where to go to get help.......... Welfare freebies. IF they cant get what the want they just take it.

    This is mine...got it for Christmas 3 years ago...I love to target shooot with it

    Took a concealed carry class 2 months ago...now I'm just waiting to turn 21

    I am very familiar with this gun...it is my favorite. A Ruger P95 series .40 caliber

    I still have to decide what I want to conceal carry when I do...my pistol right now is too big and bulky

    Anything can be weapon, but you got to practical and realistic- a bobby pin isn't gonna do much. Preparing would be best beforehand, and if it's a firearm, proper training.

    My bear spray and my Rottweiler. I'll hit them high and he can hit them low. He prefers that, anyway. Going for the groin ruined his Schutzhund career.

    I used to have a revolver but I decided that it would make me a target for people who want a gun.

    22 pistol, first 2 rounds are snake-shot, non lethal to get my point across. Next 2 rounds are lead-heads that could be lethal if needed to be but the next 2 are magnum JHP's. A 22 round is a lot easier to defend yourself in court as a choice not to kill at first, but if you found it necessary to use them all, you've also proven the case for self-defense. Always remember it's not how many shots it takes, it's the one well placed shot that takes them down.

    If they get over the fence which has an electric wire on top.... past the dogs... through the iron door and the alarm... guess I'd have to shoot them, drag them back outside and have a heart to heart with the dogs before they get their treat...
