I'm Making Plans to Move to a Different State. Do You Find Change Exciting or Intimidating?

A little of both!

Moving to a new state is always fun but there is no place like home : )

Actually, it's a different state from where I'm now living. It's my home state so in this case you are right!

Depends on the change.

I find that change is NEEDED if you expect to grow.

theres one thing of change that could be happening to me that I would be very excited about - and for humanity, unless they change; I still have no hope for it.

and sometimes intimidating.. like when I went from High School. to the Navy...

I love change, and I love extreme change as long as it's not bad.

I loathe moving so that change would not be exciting to me but good luck in your new state.

For me it depends on what the change really is about.. For me its more of a mixture between exciting and intimidating I have no idea why but that's just how it is for me!

I'm in the military and therefore; I am pretty sick and tired of money,period.

The first couple of times I moved to a different state, it was exciting. After that, I dreaded all of the organization and logistics required.

I love moving, meeting new people, and change!

I like a routine. Change just messes everything up.

Exciting and intimidating

During my career we moved to a different city 16 times. We lived in every region of the country, (except New England) for anywhere from 1 (shortest) to 6 (longest) years. This included living in New York City, Hawaii, San Francisco, the Northwest, the South, The Republic of Texas and many others. We loved it. It was always exciting, and we loved absorbing and becoming part of so many different cultures. So many new groups of friends. So many different experiences. Tiny Towns, huge metropolises. They all had something to offer. Never regretted a single move. Now I'm retired, fixed income, etc. and don't see another move in the cards, but I'm I miss it. It was tough on the kids in some ways, but then it was great too. We did make sure they got to spend their entire high school years in once town. A small midwestern one.

I kind of miss the days when I could get everything I owned in my car and just take off at will. I moved so often in college and the 6 years after that.

Love change

change is not always bad........ just depends.

A bit of both I've lived with my parents all my life and im 24 by the end of the summer im moving in with my boyfriend.. so im moving from MA to CT.. I'm excited but nervous at the same time..

i have lived in portugal and spain and i have moved quite a few times in england and next month we are moving about 2 miles away and i am still excited....

It can be a good or bad change, I'm usually anxious and excited for when something new comes along.

Its new scary could be fun or just bad

i am a military chlid i have moved al lot and it is exciting but sad to leave what you have come to know

old don't like big change

It's a combo. When I moved from the west to the east it was nothing but exciting. But when I got here I realized the impact of my change and it was almost overwhelming, granted my mom was terminally ill, so that had an impact. Now I know such big change comes with as much excitement as it does intimidation. You just need time to adjust. :)

Depends if I'm doing well or badly.

I mean, I'm always a little worried and I'll always miss something, but change is almost always for the better. You can't move backward, you can only move forward.

it depends on what aspect of life is the change related to but in general i like a change in my life it gives it a new taste and flavor

change is difficult for most people...
i for one have been in a constant state of change for many years... decades even.

Moving and never staying in 1 place for too long (think 5 years is the longest yet). 3 states in 6 years.
Always changing jobs... i get bored or because moving.
New musical projects... new band mates.... new shoes... new car...
I actually like and embrace changes as something to look forward to instead of letting it get me down or be intimidated by it.
Moving into a new house this weekend, starting a new job next week, in a new musical project for only 4 months now...
hope that this is the last round of changes for a while!!!

As someone who has done it I can tell you its both exciting and intimidating at the same time.

Both. I move a lot though, and all over the world so usually excitement is my first reaction. Fear usually sets in when I find out where I'm going lol

Depends on the type of change. The only change I have ever found intimidating is moving far from my family.

That is true. But I was raised an army brat and now that we are state side I like to stay relatively close to my grandparents they wont be around forever and my parents too. Even though at time I would love to pick up and go somewhere else.
