Planning a summer vacation? Awesome. Now all you need to figure out is where to go and how to get there. Road trips can be fun, but if you're planning to go a little further, flying is probably more along the lines of what you'll be doing. But hey: there's always the good ol' staycation for those on a budget. Whatever the case, we want to know: How will you get to your summer vacay destination this time around?

Why fly when I can drive for a lot less than a flight and car rental? Plus, taking my own care, it doesn't matter if my kids trash it.

For some reason I hate that I hate flying. It just annoys me. Im taking a trip to Texas and I live in Virginia. We are driving about 8-9 hours each day. I wish I was flying but at the same time I am happy that I am not flying. Yep, thats me for ya

Sadly, I work in a call center and am pretty low I'm the totem pole. No summer vacation for me, but there could be an illness that causes skin to darken almost like a tan, in my future!

Flying to London in a few days. Would rather not go by air, but I don't have much of a choice, unfortunately. I hate planes....

Most of ours are stay at home because my husband does not get to do enough of that. Although the best are when we are totally away because he will still allow himself to work since his office is in our home. Vacations can get pretty expensive, depending on what you do and how much you splurge. I think that is what a lot of people go into debt on their credit cards with. Not good! You may have memories but end up paying through the nose for it. For those who can really comfortably afford it, great.

Just came back about 3 weeks ago from Hawaii. Fixing to go to CA for a week. I can definitely tell you though, that wherever possible, I will not fly United again. Nothing but trouble with them, as did approx. 60-75 other passengers at the airport on return trip. Not to mention an iceberg plane for 6 hours, on which I got sick from that. Funny, only plane that issued those measley thin blankets, and I'm not a cold natured person, and have flown a lot in my life. Other people I have talked to since, have nothing good to say about them either. Baggage trouble, can't find your ticketed plane schedule on computer, having to wait over 4 hours for next flight, like we did and experienced the other problems. People have talked of rudeness from stewardesses, one to a man in a wheelchair. One was snippy with me when I kindly asked for another blanket if they had one. My husband has had several problems w/them flying somewhere for a job his co. has gotten. I love flying but I will avoid United like the plague wherever possible. Nothing offered to eat on that long flight either, just drinks, twice.

There's the expense, and then there's the fact that flying somewhere under current conditions would take all the fun out of going there in the first place.
