There are many people especially women where they know they probably won't get hit on , if they go to a gay club. Thus the reason they don't mind going-- If it's a LESBIAN BAR-- STRAIGHT MEN MIGHT NOT BE SO INCLINED TO GO IN . WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ?

I don't drink and I don't frequent bars but I am less likely to go to a gay bar because I feel threatened by the large number of well-dressed men who are better dancers.

Because I just know the music would suck! I rarely go to bars at all. In fact in the last year or two I've been to a bar one time I can think of. And I think that was more than a year ago.

From my experiences, gay bars include both men and women who are gay, and I disagree with your statement that women probably won't get hit on - maybe not by men but the women hit on ya! LOL

yeah, they said it was because my friend was too drunk, which he wasnt. it happened right after a couple came up to talk to us asking if we were stright (we must have stuck out like a sore thumb)

I go to gay bars because they can be nicer but i think it depends on the area, I've been to a gay bar near where i live and they were lovely, i've been to a couple in brighton and the gay guys seemed alot more bitchy which really surprised me.

I've hung out in a gay bar with straight freinds (and family). It was their choice to go, I just followed. But it wasn't bad really.

I wouldn't go a lot as I don't see any point but I have a trans freind I'd go into one of those bars with now and then.

Of course if I wanted to pull, I wouldn't go to a gay bar to do that.

I can totally see straight womyn going to gay bars, so she wouldn't get hit on..even if she has a boyfriend or husband herself and/or is single and doesn't want to be bothered by boys overall!!

I see it happen all the time..so she could feel safe too!!

Some are mixed, some are more men and some are more women. I've had reports where a straight female freind of mine (when I was at uni) went to a lesbian bar and she got hit on a lot :P

well Im gay but since I spend more time in straight clubs than gay clubs, and all the DJ's I know that work in gay clubs are straight I dont see any reason why someone would be. If I can do it and deal with chicks hitting on me all night then you should be able to handle it too. Im secure in my sexuality and Im not threatened by anyone else's

no one would harm you-- I've been to plenty of them and I havn't seen any straight guys harmed yet. The gay's one may get their heart broken or fear of rejection when turned down for a dance.

by my understanding of the question, is would I feel uncomfortable going in a gay bar. and not at all. I am secure in myself to be able to handle to going in any pub to dance and enjoy myself with my wife.

I had a blast going to a gay bar in Florida with some friends. The bar was split in half with one side for men and the other for women. Had unisex bathroom too which I found to be weird at first. I would go back again, no problem.

The mens bar was different in that I had to show I wasn't Gay then It too was a BLAST!!

While it wouldn't be at the top of my list of things to do, it wouldn't bother me at all I don't think. I have a couple homo friends and they're fun as hell to hangout with, they're like catty bitches, it cracks me up. Every gay I've ever met has been extremely nice and respectful, so I don't have a problem with it.

i go to gay clubs all the time. my brother is gay, my best friend is gay and he's also a bartender so i spent a lifetime at his bar...which was in a gay club in Miami. I have always felt comfortable, and i have straight guy friends that have gone and had fun...the drag shows are amazing and the energy is very positive. You have to be secure in ur sexuality in order to enjoy a gay club...otherwise you get turned on and start to freak out cause ur rainbow colors are peakin.lol. no but really it takes a very confident straight man to go into gar bars...which makes them sooo hot by the way. as for lesbians coming on to me...it's as simple as "im straight" and it's flattering, it's not really ever an issue cause they can read me...they usually never get mixed signals they know im straight.
