My dad passed away in 2008 at the ripe old age of 92. My mom is still kicking at 88.

My parents are both dead, my dad from a coronary and my mum from ovarian cancer. My dad died in 2002 at the age of 60. My mum died in 2005, also age 60.

I don't really know what causes everything, but I think if I do as much as I can, I can feel good about it... My dad did smoke for a time, which I never did.

Both my parents never smoked, except my dad does smoke cigars now. They're not as bad. And they're cooler.

Actually, I think cigars present a higher incidence of mouth and throat cancer, whereas cigarettes more affect the lungs. But they still have second-hand smoke.

You do have the advantage at least until you're into your 50s... being female is a bit of a built-in protection. My protection is that my wife is a nurse.

Ovarian cancer, the silent killer =( Even if you were female there's not much you could do about that.

Maybe there's not much you can do about this either, i don't know, but hopefully keeping your heart as healthy as possible will help.
