Well, I was in the mall and i stop to see this dream catchers and I have my son beside me, he was 2 at the time... OMG not even seconds I reach his hand and nowhere to be found, I was screaming, I mean making a big deal about it in the Mall, People where looking and asking what was going on, so everyone was looking for my son, took 15 minutes for me to found my son and the security man on the called me where my son was, I look at him and I hug him and the lady told me, you are lucky and your kids is smart, 2 elderly couple wanted to take him outside the Mall to look for you, he scream and came here to me and told me, those are not my grandparents or momma or daddy, look for my mommy... Well That is what I taught him, if he even disappear to go to the Mall worker Customer Services and don't go with anyone, even if they tell him,. Your mom told me to pick you up and to not be lure by candy and whatever...

I still thank God for founding my son

But the the police wouldn't DO anything until it's been...24 hours, is it? So stupid! DX

As soon as I realize they are NOT with me ..

ABSOLUTELY as soon as possible .. (I made sure that my children were always safe .. and that is for certain. Thankfully .. when they were first able to understand .. one hand had one tiny little hand in it .. the other hand had the other tiny little hand .. and both knew this!)

Sadly you cannot put in a form for 48 hours I think it is. Those Amber Alerts make me want to cry becuase I know the statics. I heard one every night for maybe two weeks a couple of months ago. I don't really remember the details now but every night when It came on I wanted to cry. The girl was probably dead or exploited, i thought. I have no idea what happened but i really hope they found and rescued her.
At this Wal-mart close to my Grandma's they have this missing child board and it brings tears to my eyes. I read each and every one. There are some on there from the 80's I think. I'm sorry to say the children in those pictures are probably dead

The longer you wait, the better the chance that they'll be dead or injured. I think there are statistics that say if a person/child is kidnapped that they are usually killed within the first 3 hours so that's why it's imperative to know ASAP.

Especially if it's a very young child.
You can never be too careful these days with all the creeps out there.

The sooner the better- that way an Amber Alert can be given out.

I think its still 24 hours that you have to wait for adults, but kids are a different story.

After a check in immediate area, I would call them right away if I couldn't find them. I don't believe in that 24 hour missing rule where kids are concerned.

I'm from a pretty small town, but I'm sure I'd flip out if my Little Mister was gone. As soon as he wasn't in my sight I would contact anyone and everyone (including the authorities) to find him.

HOW OLD ARE THEY? 0 to 5: right way. 6 to11: wait a couple hours and see if they come home by themselves. 12 to 18: Cut them some slack they'll come home and then you can ground them. 18 and above: Be thankful. 30 and 40: Hope they call home and not for money. 40 and above: Hope they leave again (soon). ;-^)>

I use to have a recurring nightmare that my youngest son was abducted. The anguish and thought of having your child taken from you and not knowing if they are suffering is probably the worse thing that could ever happen to a parent. I don't think it matters what age your kid is either.
I feel for all those families that have a loved one missing.
suffering parent matters age kid feel families loved missing
