i would beat the F U C K outta him.

I would intervene. No man has ANY right in the world to lay his hand on a woman like that!
I was beaten with a stick in public by a man, and another woman saw as I fell to the ground crying in pain... she pulled her car over and got out yelling and taking the stick from the man...saying he has no right...
she did this favour for me, taught me a lot, ,and reminded me that we are ALL equal.
She did this favour for me as I said and I would do the same for any other women being beaten.
Its not FAIR, not RIGHT, and men who think that they can, and have the right too... are bullies and cowards... if I were in my situation of being beaten again, I would fight ten times harder... because there is no excuse for it!

I'm glad you came out of that situation stronger! A healthy woman takes a bad situation and makes something good come out of it. And I'm glad that now you would fight back with all you got if someone tries to do that to you again! I would too. ;)

Depends on the theatre and circumstances of combat... police (meaning lawful) are preferred, but I have no problem intervening if more peaceful avenues are not available in a timely fashion.

Well I definitely wouldn't ignore it!! If the man looked stronger and bigger than me (which would probly be the case), then I'd call the police. If the man looked about the same as me, I'd intervene.

Of course I would intervene...the severity of intervention would depend upon the relationship between the woman and myself though...

I would definitely call the police in a heart beat. I would like to think that I would intervene in some manner, not necessarily walking into the middle of it.

Phone police. Intervene if the situation was not too dangerous. Who would tolerate a man, a child, a woman, beating anything? But puttimng yourself in danger is not wise either. My uncle was a policeman for 35 years. He told stories of how a woman would call police because the husband was beating on her. Then when the poilce came to remove the husband, they would both end up turning on the police.
There is an old saying "grab a dog by the ears and it is hard to let go"

I've seen that happen in more of a metaphorically manner if my students when they reported abuse to us. We are required by law to report it, but have had many instances where it has bitten us in the butt.

I'd say it is situational. In most cases I would intervene and defend a woman who was obviously being abused. But there are times when people men and women have a good beating coming. I wouldn't deny anyone the justice of a good beating they deserved.

That really depends on the situation. I'd knock'im-out. But this is in a direct-witness case.

Restrain the one who is assaulting the woman....break his arms.....then after I let him dwell on the pain for a while, I would then call the police.

Had a friend who ended up being very embarrassed over seeing a man whipping a naked woman. hanging from a ceiling in an Aprtment several blocks away. He rushed up a phoine call to the police. The police hurried up there too. Shortly the police were at his apartment with a peeping Tom Warrent for him. He'd been spying wth binocculars and yes it was a couple being kinky that afternoon.

If I didnt know the girl, I would call the cops. If the girl was like my best friend, I would beat the heck out of him.

I would definitely do something, it would depend on the situation, but I would not just do nothing. I would phone the police, may be shout out. I would definitely phone the police.

Call the police, it's dangerous to intervene, but I would if it appeared that murder was imminent. What really bugs me is that I have a former student who intervened when a gangster at our school started slapping around his girlfriend. This kid is a wonderful kid on the soccer team and an honors scholar and the next day the gang surrounded his car and nearly beat him senseless until the GIRLS that were on the track and soccer teams came out and started kicking butt. Seems the track girls don't like seeing their guys beat up.

I would intervene and while I held the coward at gun point if necessary (I am licensed to carry and I see this as just one of many reasons to support the 2nd Amendment) I would make him call the police on himself

I would call the police and scream my head off for help. But I am a 61 year old woman with fibromyalgia and definitive body weakness. In my younger days I would have made some attempt to stop it although it is usually not wise because the man could turn on me too. Good question though!!! 911 was made for situations like this.

growing up ive witnessed my mother being beatin all the time by men , i intervened, because i cant stand for men to do that all that tells me is that they obviously are not a man and are to scared to fight actually men that they have to take it out on the women , so personally i would interven only caus ethat is the one thing that i can not stand ................................
