Unless it is winter. And I personally don't drink beer so other beverages would be required.......I don't like big parties and I would consider a group of ten to be plenty. I would do a buffet table of food and put someone in charge of bbqing meat since I don't do meat :) I would have beer, wine and maybe a house cocktail like mojitos. I would set up croquet and bocce and I would have candle filled lanterns around for when it gets dark.

If I have to choose I'll pick this one. Most of the parties we throw are BYOB parties. We'll supply the food and do all the cooking but if you want to drink you have to bring your own and be willing to have your keys taken away if you do choose to drink. We have neighborhood cookouts when the weather is nice. Everyone walks from house to house eating, socializing, and catching up with folks we haven't seen in awhile. Meeting new babies and welcoming home those that have been away. No one supplies alcohol but no one says anything about folks walking around with a beer in a koozie or a mixed drink in hand.

Sorry! That is only true for myself (recovering alcoholic). Can handle being around it for the sake of others though! So in that case, all of the above sounds good depending on the occasion.
