If you were about to go skydiving, but then found that you left your parachute at home, would you jump anyway?

No? Of course you wouldn't. So why would you have sex without a condom or birth control, just because you didn't have any? I've been told that if we don't give people free birth control, they'll just have sex without it. Am I really supposed to pity people like that? You know the consequences of it, yet you go and do it anyway? I don't understand that logic. I really don't. Why would you put yourself and the other person in danger like that?

BTW, I'm not trying to make some pro-abstinance argument, I'm just saying that if you're going to have sex, use protection. Also, I don't want to debate about giving away free birth control. That's not what I made this post for. I just want to know why some people think that it's a wise decision to just have sex with no protection, because you don't have any. Because as a High School student, I over hear people my age talk about their sexual escapades, and it scares the crap out of me. Hearing a teen boy say "Yeah, I didn't have a condom, but I did it anyway cuz, you know, YOLO." makes me shutter with fear for what awaits the next generation.
