If you needed to get a wedding ring today (for either you or for your spouse to wear), would you buy a Titanium ring?

Titanium wedding bands are starting to become more popular, particularly for men's bands. They are also available in women's styles.

Titanium bands are much more durable than gold, and also lighter.

If you needed to get a wedding ring today, for yourself or for your spouse, would you buy a Titanium ring? That is, would you wear one yourself? If you wouldn't, would you get one for your spouse?

Given the last 20 years - I'd get him one made of Lead.
Not that I'm bitter or anything.

My husband wanted Titanium. I wanted a ring to match my grandmother's wedding set. I wouldn't be against Titanium otherwise, though.

Cool. Do you have to polish or do other maintenance on platinum at all, and is platinum harder or softer than gold? I was wondering how easily it scratches.

I witnessed an issue in an emergancy room where they had to get the
ring off because the injury was to the arm and everything was swelling
up. Problem was, they had no way to cut throught the ring and ended up
having to cut into the digit to remove it. They guy almost lost a
    finger due to this.
Titanium is a hard metal to cut.

If it didn't cause me to break out when I wore it like gold and silver
do, then yes I would. Never tried one on because they are too darned
    expensive(as is platnium)

I'm not picky... I just wanted to get married to my love. So if given the choice today I wouldn't care just like I didn't back then. Note- platinum is not a good choice unless you like getting it polished all the time.
