BTW I don't consider unemployment a handout. There is a reason employers pay unemployment insurance and I don't see anything wrong with it going to those who were working and cannot find work because that is what it was set up for.
Yeah you don't want to be a sponger, and might take something shortterm, bit does affect your resume. When employers see youworking at Home Depot for a year when you used to manage a department, they suspect you weren't a good manager.
