I like an ecclectic mix of furnishings that you accumulate over time. I do love Swedish Gustavian and I like some of Mies van der Rohe's designs and mixing rustic and ornate. I'm pretty much whatever I like and it fits, then it works for me.

Love this room and the chairs are perfect. Those are the exact slipcovers I've been wanting for my dining room chairs to protect the needlepoint seats that my mother and grandmother made together.

We debated the merits of each style, the wife and I did, but eventually colonial won out and the house looks beautiful. There's a certain coziness and even a romantic quality to "old fashioned" furniture!
