If you had terminal cancer and expected to live 3-4 yrs, would you take chemo or radiation if it added a yr or so to your life ?

NO.....I don`t think I would. But one would have to face this decision when the time came...!

Absolutely no! Would want to fight it on my terms. Quality of life issue. Wouldn't want my family to have to suffer through my chemo crap.

I agree. but in the end it will be extremely painful. I am not looking forward to that. I would rather end it quickly !

I'm not sure, but most likely not. I think I would rather turn to being a heroin addict. Weighing out feeling like complete sh**, with feeling nothing, feeling nothing looks better to me.

I'd take radiation over chemo... I've already been through a course of external beam and radioactive implants to cure one cancer, and it seemed far less painful or debilitating than stories I hear about living with chemo.

My husband died of stomache cancer quality of life is not pleasant the last months were hard on him he was begging God to take him. Hospice should of been called earlier but I had hoped for more time but not at his cost of suffering. I would proably til I could see not hope or in insufferable pain .

Trying to make a decision. Chemo ruins your life quality. Radiation has it's own complications. Melanoma is painful in the end and not much curbs the pain. 2 yrs reasonable good life or 5 yrs of misery and sick?
