If you go to subway and all you want is a cup, they will charge you $0.25 for just the cup and they make you get water. Would you still get water or soda?

It is stealing, and eventually will lead to price increases. But, then again, I'm the guy who was afraid that my first employer would get a copy of my "permanent record" from my high school or middle school! Mickey D does the same thing, BTW.

In this day and age, a glass of ice water for a quarter is a steal. The company has to buy the cups, so I doubt they are making a profit. I mean if you feel like sticking it to the man and sneaking soda, that's your thing.

uhhh...you could always not go back. not all subways are the same. try a different subway. they might not be as greedy. how do i know? well i ran into a similar situation and found out that not all of the same "named" stores are alike. depends on the area you go to. try it! yeah! just try it!

1st off I never eat Subway, and never buy anything from big corporate chain stores. Corporate manipulation of the building codes and other aspects of operating a small business are poisoning the american economy. If all the big chains like Subway, McDonalds, even Sizzler disappeared, I would not shed a single tear. Support independent small business and get the judges and code enforcement officers who make operating small business difficult out of positions of power and authority. The country will be better off without state funded building and safety departments. Most building and safety offices are departments of the county sheriff. Since when is safety dispensed through the barrel of a gun?

They could raise prices of sandwiches and give spoons and cups away, but rest assured, nothing in life is free, and people "working" the system only makes it worse. If you want plastic spoons and paper cups at a reasonable price, buy them in the grocery store.

Quite frankly ..
this is far more economical ..
than the alternative of a small bottle of water that is sold by other vendors at around $2.00 a bottle at some sites/attractions ..

Just pay for the cup (it really is not that much) and get your water instead ..
