When I was about 26, I decided that I wasn't doing a very good job at living my life and that I had no business telling others how to live theirs.

I do have a slightly better handle on the science of useful living but I still fall short of my ideals. Until I am perfect (which I don't expect to ever happen), I won't tell anyone else how THEY should be perfect, so I wouldn't comment on inappropriate behavior, at all.

Criminal behavior is a whole 'nother ballgame.

e-mail and tell hem/her how you feel. If it is a friend; no harm done, if harm is done; not a friend

If you consider him/her a friend, you'll keep rebukes private...and be willing to hear an explanation with an open mind.

just send them a polite e-mail expressing your concerns and if that doesnt work then...have nothing to do with them.

If a real life friend does something stupid or inappropriate in public, I tell them how I feel about that right there, right then, in public. I don't like it if people suddenly come up with things like "oh right remember how you did this and that yesterday? Yeah I thought it was inappropriate." Seriously just say it when it happens.

I know, sorry. I'm no different on Sodahead. I just wanted to make clear I do that in real life as well, I don't change my attitude because of my anonymity.

I think an e mail is quite appropriate but it depends on the situation. Sometimes it is getting worse with an e mail

What I've done before in that situation, write directly to h/her e-mail. To rebuke, confront or harrange in public discourse will make you the issue and any chance for a reasonable solution will most likely be lost.

I'd send them an email to discuss it. I would never choose to upset a friend publicly. Even if I talked to someone privately, I would not mean I'm upset with them. I just might have a different point of view.
