I could erase some bad dreams and imagine a different state of mind. I love the USA however these last three + years have been trying and suppose that is a test of my being.

I've been though a lot of crap in my life (more then most people my age and more then I'll ever tell) but I'd never want to forget or change any of it. Both the good and bad events of my life have made me the person I am today and from what I've been told I'm a kind, thoughtful, truthful, brave hearted, inspiring person. There have been times I would have been glad to start over and would have leaped at the chance but not today.

There are things I would erase. I would erase my school experience 2nd grade through freshman year. Things probably would have been much different for me if I had not gone through that hell. Most likely my experiences after that would have been of a more positive nature had that been erased (or never happened).

I suppose. I tend to think every experience is a learning one. Through mistakes you learn techniques, build courage, and try again.

This is true, as every negative experience does carry a lesson and we should be able to learn from it. As I do think like you do, I just have a really good memory about past events and am REALLY hard on myself over failure.

So in short, I am my own worst enemy.

Hmm do you tend to take an event, pick and rip it apart at every seam and analyze each piece? I do that sometimes, which really ends up only bad because you are over-thinking something that is really not there.

No, I learn from all of it, even (or sometimes, especially) the bad parts. I wouldn't want to repeat those errors because I didn't know any better.

Now, if I had the chance for a do-over, knowing what I now know, there is at least one time where I might leap at the chance to change how I handled a situation.

Not that I'm happy, well completely happy. There's things I love in this life and there's some people that I couldn't live without because they mean the world to me, and to erase them it's sicking to think about. I wouldn't change anything, any memory because they were experiences I've experienced and they made me who I am today. : )

We all have things that we regret but that is apart of life and maturity. Obviously we all know that we are not perfect. Memories make you stronger because you learn from them. If you erase the bad parts of your memory, you are a fool. You'll only end up repeating them than avoiding them because you would have nothing to learn from.
