If you caught a near record breaking lobster in International waters what would you do?

You!

I'd make sure it was recorded properly before I started to boil the water and invite my close friends over for a real treat!

I would poach and eat it after a pic. I don't believe those are anywhere near short supply. Well, maybe record setting ones......

I used to eat lobster, but the bit about boiling them till they're dead made me sick.

Don't get me wrong, I love lobster. But when one manages to avoid the lobster pots long enough to reach record weight, that dude deserves a bit of respect. Put him back and let him improve the lobster gene pool for a few more seasons.

That's exactly how I look at it. I always figured if they were smart enough to live that long they deserve a break. Worst case scenario, give it to an aquarium and let it live high on the hog.

Big ones aren't as tasty. That, and any creature that has lived a long as that one had - to get to that size....I'd let him go. I let a huge buck go one day. Put my rifle down and stood up so he could see me. We looked at each other, and then he walked away. I felt blessed to just see him.

A lobster old enough to be that big would be like trying to eat the sole of a combat boot.

I would release it back into the water. It has avoid the net this long. So I would help it to avoid that again. Or take it to an aqua marina

If I am hungry I'll eat it. If not, I'll catch it and sell it to the highest bidder.
