My first instinct was to say forest, but Iam really not sure, on the streets you run the risk of being attacked by people, in the forest by animals depending on where you live.

I might come out to do some panhandling or to see if any opportunities had surfaced but, otherwise, I'd just pretend to be camping. I like camping.

My mom hauled me around thanks to boyfriends and husbands too.. It's a pain in the butt having to move and deal with new people and new situations all the time and sometimes I felt I was never going to have a real life.

BUT, now I'm 43, I've been married and in a relationship with one man for 17 years next month.. we have two kids and I learned from my mom's craziness so I didn't repeat her mistakes. You can do the same thing.

Good luck and hang in there... someday you will be out and on your own and you'll do better than folks who've had it easier than you because you know you can take more than they will ever know.

Forest near a city or town. That way I could still get some things the forest wouldn't provide,and if needed sleep someplace a tad warmer if it got to cold in the winter. Otherwise I think I'd have better luck hunting squirrels and such then digging through trash. So long as I had my bow and arrows at least.

Having grown up in the country, hunted and fished a great deal and love the outdoors, and been a Boy Scout I think somewhere besides the city would suit me best. I think I could live off the land better than out of dumpsters.

I have been homeless before. And lived in a beat up camper wherever they let me park it when it ran which wasn't often.

I'd live in the forest, cause I can eat squirrels in there, and there aren't a lot of squirrels in town.. Not nice. Also, I'd most likely end up like Tarzan, and swing through the trees, like a monkey, then I'd make up a language of my own, and start a civilisation in the forest, cause I'm like that :D

Did this in real life with my family for around a month a few years back.. lived in the city.. spent some time in a shelter.. If you don't want to be homeless you need a job.. jobs are in the city. So you stay in the city and find work so you can get off the streets.

Took the husband working nights and me working days while the other watched the kids but in around a month.. with a little government aid for 2 months... to have enough for the security and rent for a craptastic apartment. After another year and a bit we moved to a better place. Now it's just about 6 years later and we've been paying off our back bills and living within our budget and we may actually be able to have a house someday....

But if you don't want to stay homeless.. you have to be where the jobs are and jobs aren't in the forest. Well, not most jobs.
