If you are or arn't gay, did or do you think your parents have/wont accept you?

i have a girlfriend and my mom being a b!tch about it though she thinks me and her are not dating any more which is false

parents want thier kids to be anything they want to be apart from thierselfs so well, tell her if your not even going to support me and be myself, then theres no point in me being here, i text my dad saying, i just got a new girlfriend and he replied LOL!!

they both are strongly against gay people and if i told them i was bisexual my mom would probably kick me out of the house

Accepted is the wrong word. I know as a parent I'd be shocked, I'd not be happy, but I'd love my child. There would probably be no grand kids and it is a socially taboo thing, more acceptable today yes and no, there is unfortunately still a lot of violence against them. Gay is a self proclamation of what one believes them self to be. I've known many that thought they were gay when they were young, and now are very happily not gay. I wondered when I was young; I wasn't masculine, liked what some consider girly things, still do, but I'm not gay. I hate gender stereotypes. I decided it wasn't a place a wanted to go. I think that many people are confused because of a pretty screwed up world, but it does come down to how you see yourself and what you believe your self to be. Not even a homosexual act makes someone gay, the only thing that would make someone gay is their choice to be gay. I think it's sad that gay becomes all that someone is about, there is much more to a person, more than they realize. Anyone can do without sex, it does not have to define anyone.

There's no homosexuals in my fam, but my parents are pretty damn cool so I'm sure that if I was I would be accepted

Everyone in my blood line are accepting, my husbands family, not so much. Bet you can't guess which ones are the so called loving christians. We have gays on both sides and I will say my husbands parents accept their lesbian daughter but her siblings don't all accept her because of their religious affiliations. My husbands cousin who is a preacher accepts his grandson while the kids own father does not.
Surly in another generation people will get over this prejudice.

LOL my maternal family would have been ecstatic if I would have came out gay to them(...they are liberal) much more accepting of that then becoming a Roman Catholic. As soon as I started my RCIA classes they blackballed me. They chose to not see me anymore. My aunt and mom sometimes call but therestI have not seen in 12 years!
As far as they are conserned I am not family anymore because I am Catholic. LOL

I actually am gay, and when I told my mom, she just smiled and hugged me, telling me she was glad I finally said it. Apparently, she kinda knew.

I am gay. And I was accepted by my dad 100%. My mom on the other hand still tries to play it as I'm straight. She even said I wasn't gay to my face. My mom isn't really accepted she likes to think she is though. :/
