Not enough information. Do you love the person you are in the relationship with too? Why are you not with the other person, what if they died but you will always love them? What if you don't want to be with the other person?

I honestly consider it as a betrayal.If you're out there thinking about someone else in a romantic way, then what's the point in being in a relationship? It's a waste of time and it only hurts the person that truly loves you.

It's not cheating unless you act on it.
Although you are being a horrible person. You're leading someone on when your heart belongs to someone else. I believe it's unfair for the other person.
If this is you, then I suggest you come clean to your partner. That is, if you're willing to try and move on of whoever you love, and try to love your partner.
Like I said, it's not cheating... at least not physically.

Technically, yes it is. Cheating is defined as "to defraud, to deceive." If you are in a relationship with someone, but love someone else that is definitely deceiving.

However, most people equate cheating in a relationship as having some kind of physical relationship with someone other than your partner. That would include everything from kissing to intercourse.

In this day and age of the Internet and chatting, I would include sexual conversations with another as well.

It depends on the agreements you have in your relationships. Not all romantic relationships are exclusive...but mine has been for 30 years and works great for me.

yes and no, depending on each persons circumstances..people should be entitled to be happy and if one person can't make you happy then surely you deserve to find love elsewhere...

Thats just a person wanting time to waste or wanting to give some of the "love" stored inside thats in need to get out. I think this person should be more considerate about the other partner's feelings and get over their selfishness.

Cheating is defined by the one being betrayed. Anyone that is in love with one person, but in a relationship with someone else, is doing a great disservice to their partner as well as themselves.

Not the physical aspect of cheating, HOWEVER, not only are you depriving the love that you should give to the person you're with, you're CHEATING YOURSELF by not cutting off ties and going after the person you truely love.

I don't think so. If you're physically doing something with them that's cheating. but if you're just thinking about them, i wouldn't consider that cheating.

At best, you're on the verge of cheating, or building temptation. As Ron White said, if you only 'do' your spouse, you never worry about being caught. But he did say he and his wife were hard at it when the maid came in, which is far better than the other way around.
