Well if I did what most do, I'd toss a fit and go cryin' to my momma. Instead, I verbally beat the hell out of them and force them to block me when they realize I don't back away from my guns and they're firing blanks making themselves look like idiots.
I much prefer to present information to support my assertions, and then challenge them to present a stronger case. And when they cannot, that's when I tell them to kiss my ass!
How's things, mate?! I watched the F-1 race from Montreal last weekend...boring race but great weather there!! Yeah, I used to be quite verbose - as you can probably already imagine - in my efforts to prove someone wrong or to make a point but I just don't care anymore!!
Take care, champion...oh, & I only just saw your greeting from a few days ago, so this is somewhat of a reply to that as well, haha!! Talk/type soon, bud...Matt.
Yeah, it was rather a dull race on a beautiful day. I'm finding few races anymore offer up much drama, perhaps because I've been spoiled by enough stunners over the years. There was a Nationwide race couple of years ago there that had me literally on the edge of my seat in the final laps. Check this finish out....
Know what you mean about butting heads in these forums. I still enjoy the mental exercise, but like you for the most part I don't much care. Minds are closed up tight as a drum for the most part.
I can't believe it. Boring? Hamilton "finally" won, there were two new non winners on the podium, the pole sitter wasn't even close, and there weren't that many wrecks. I thought it was great.
I was pleased to see Hammy get back atop the podium, and it was an interesting race in terms of how the strategies played out. The racing is much better the past couple of years from previously where outside of mechanical failure or accident you could pretty much predict the finishing order after the first two laps, but for me a race needs to have an air of uncertainty right down to the final lap for me to call it exciting. And this race didn't have it.
Are you comparing it to last year where the Red Bulls were on top all the time? We have a record number of winners in the first seven races. I just hope this goes on.
Actually, I was thinking more of the years of the Schumacher dynasty. At least with the dominance of the Red Bulls there was some real competition between the team mates. This is shaping up to be a very exciting championship season, I think we could end up going into the final race with 4 or more drivers in contention for the title.
The only competition Schumacher had was the McLaren team. But then Adrian Newey was the head of Ferarri at the time and you've seen what he, Todt, and Schuey did. The Red Bulls with Newey as the designer are doing well. Ferarri are just beginning to catch up. I guess the Schumacher years could best be described as the 49's dynasty in the NFL.
I have always wondered what those years might have offered if not for the tragic death of Senna. I think it is safe to say that Schumacher would not be a seven time champion and I think the competition between the two would have made for an epic battle. Senna always amazed me with his ability to deliver even when his car was not the class of the field.
Adrian Newey is by far the most dominant individual in F1, perhaps in all of modern (since aerodynamics have ruled) racing. He had a huge impact on Indy car evolution before moving on to eventually become the man behind the dominance of the Williams team as well as with Ferrari and now Red Bull. I think if not for the friction between him and Patrick Head at Williams, he would probably have never left there. Wherever this man has gone, success has soon followed and I am sure there is not a race team that doesn't covet his services.
Take it all in stride, and especially with a grain of salt! Because those of us who value ur opinion, whether it agrees with ours or not - value yours - and we WONT call u a liar!
Too bad duels were outlawed.

Cheers Mate!
