If religion and or god was a real fact, and in believing so was the way to having a good life, wouldn't everyone would be rushing to get it like the gold rush?

It seems to me religion is only for credulous people. Followers will always say, "You just have to have faith" meaning to me you just have to be a credulous sucker.
You!

These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. (John 16:1)

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. (John 16:2)

And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. (John 16:3)

But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you. (John 16:4)

No and you just stated yourself why it is not--people mock and dislike anything that curtails doing there own thing--people want to do their won thing and not be bothered with being challenged to be better or treat people with love!

Honestly no... because their are some real facts that are totally proven that some people still won't believe. So the non-believers wouldn't be rushing to get it.

That being said... Judgment Day and the end of the world as we know it will happen on May 21, 2011, will you be..... wait what? ... that date has already passed? That must of just been a test... and we aced it... alright lets say the real deal will now be five months later .... the end of the world now will be October 21, 2011 and it won't be a test...Bwaahaha... I mean true believes will be saved. ;P

Though the bibles says no one will know the time or date.... hmmm... bible or some guy who's been proven wrong twice now? .. hmmm ? :P

Basically if you're credulous you can hang out with people like yourself and you all can make yourselves feel smarter for being so dumb

That same argument was made when they said the world was round... instead of flat. The people who followed the round idea were in the minority but seem to be the ones the turned out right. So some credulous people might turn out to be right for following something. Even the blind squirrel finds a nut ever so often.

My point being some people believe... some people don't.... who's right? does it matter? .. I don't know...

Also during the gold rush a lot of people got rich opening stores and selling the gold minors their equipment even when they knew their was little to no gold. Just sawing you got to watch the seller, he might try to pull a fast one over if you're not careful.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. [Matthew 7:13-14]

I believe in God(s) and am certain that there are evil entities as well. I do not believe that God a has chosen one nation of people. I do not believe in killing anything or anyone in the name of God. If he wanted it dead, it would die.

First, where in the bible does it say Christians will have a good life? Second, it would be easier to live your life as though there was no God. Striving to live a good Christian life is no easy task you struggle with it on a daily basis. I answer your question with a no.

If wasn't real we wouldn't be here. That's not what I would call believing or trusting just facts. I was an atheist, and found God. I'm not going to be nasty to you so don't be nasty to me. In my company, I appoint me to lead men. We're a very large paonting company and most construction workers lack fulfilment. It's fulfilment that leads to confidence which is needed to lead. There's only two ways to get fulfilment. One is God the other money. Constrution workers don't make a whole lot of money and believing in God takes a whole lot of faith. So I don't have many men who can be leaders, and those I do have happen to be believers.

To find God, you have to take that leap of faith, and seek him. I see or don't see him in everyone. That glow of fulfilment that makes a man's confidence stand apart of others is the Light of God.

I agree. Religion and faith seem to offer nothing but some sort of blind comfort to its followers, it doesn't offer morals, happiness, or anything good that couldn't be acquired without it.

~Credulous - Having or showing too great a readiness to believe things.~

Your question itself is credulous, you make assumptions about 2.1billion people who define themselves as Christian or the approximately 5 billion people in the world including Christians who define themselves as being religious.

Matthew 5:11 "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Christianity is not about having a good life but an Eternal Life!

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. (Hebrews 11:13)

For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. (Hebrews 11:14)

And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. (Hebrews 11:15)

But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. (Hebrews 11:16)
