I have seen it, but this is a social network. Personally, I could care less as I am not affected by people misusing everything around me as I'm American, it's sort of what we inevitably do even when we do not intend to.

Ot has social networking abilities and social specific chat as well. The opinion polling is to attract you here. I understand how it could be annoying, but seriously? Don't let it kill your whole day, that's the kind of stuff that warrants therapy.

Depends on what they're saying in all their chat. If they're still talking about the topic then they should be allowed to state all that they wish to about that topic. I think the creators of this site set it up as an opinion-discussion site. Someone should ask them how much too much.

Nope. I think it's because, while I'll defend myself and my stance, I try to keep things respectful. Either that or I haven't given Sister Jean much, if any, trouble before this point, nor do I anticipate giving her trouble after it. *shrug*

What did it cost you for them to converse on your poll?

If you're being sent somewhere because people post on your polls, quit posting so many polls.
It seems you are part of the problem you complain of.

I thought the whole point of this website was about discussion. As long as they aren't getting out of control with insults and dragging a fun poll down with hatefulness, I don't see any reason to have a problem with it. Why not be happy that your poll brought people together in discussion whether or not they are still on topic?

Honestly, I don't keep track of most of them because it doesn't matter to me if people wish to talk to one another on my posts. There were a few I had deleted altogether because a conversation got really nasty and dragged a lot of other people into the nastiness, but most of them were pleasant discussions between people who were getting along. It's not hard to click "next new comment" and move on through to other comments on the thread that you can respond to. Only takes a few seconds to move by them to something else.

I'm a little unclear on what you are talking about. I would think if you want to chat you would do it on your own posts or via mail. But you state they, "should they not do it in their own posts?" I guess you mean they should. Well, that would be nice if they are going to go on and on. But I don't care too much about it. Sometimes we get on a roll with someone and we don't think to change the location. No biggie. This entire site is for chatting.
