If people don't like religion, why don't they just not be religious, instead of slamming those who are?

atheists are more and more refusing to just sit down and shut up — atheists are no longer content to remain in the closet and keep their opinions to themselves. Religious theists certainly never have, so why should atheists?

Because they have an OBVIOUS chip on their shoulders. A vendetta, if you will. Also, they believe that their supposed "liberated" way of thinking has exalted them to some higher plain of intellect and wisdom. When in all actuality, they have merely allowed the egocentrist inside them to get loose and take over all aspects of their psyche. Though closer examination you'll find that people who are like this, ARE that way because of early life experiences. For instance, they were forced to go to a religious school or were subjected to some tyrannical authority of an overly religious relative. So essentially, they allowed the behaviors and actions of others to shape their world views as such, as do most people.

Why if people are religious do they not just keep their religion to themselves instead of trying to shove it down the throats of everyone in the entire country and force everyone to live by their rules.

If they did that and left everyone else alone, we would all be happy.

However they do not and want to deny other equality and rights under the law. That is why THEY are causing ALL the trouble in the first place.

Religious people think they deserve special privileges and rights and are not prepared to be treated like everyone else.

Christians are commanded to evangelize. "Go, and make disciples of all nations".

Well, they can take their bible and shove it up their ass. We do not want your fantasies and fairy tales. Christians are intrusive and obnoxious and rude. Keep your religion to yourself

Centuries ago? There are still finding child molesters now. maybe if they cleaned up their act and stopped judging people they would have a better time. Try reading about something before posting stupid questions.

Religious is not a interchangeable word for "Christians" and "Catholics"... but they do both come under religion themselves.
