No thanks. I smoked enough during the 70's. I do think it should be legalized though.

Tried it a few times in my early youth. Did NOTHING for me.

Now, if it were dipped in embalming fluid and allowed to dry before smoking, that'd be a buzz.

Wait, they are already doing that and ending up dead.

In my book, that's a good thing.

Perhaps if I were in a safe environment where I know I would not be performing any tasks that required much coordination or high thinking power. Just as alcohol is a drug and can/does affect the mind, so too does marijuana, even of proponents of it do not wish to admit that.

There are no DIRECT causes of death by marijuana, but who's to say that some of those motor vehicle crashes, homicides, or even aspirin deaths aren't due to the abuse of marijuana?

I can't stand to not have full faculties. What about that mother that smoked and then left her baby on top of the car and drove away?
Don't like drunk people and to me they are the same.

This is a no-brainer. It helps pain, insomnia, inflammation, glaucoma, chemo symptoms and much much more. It helps stabilize moods and cope with stress. I'm not suggesting anyone work or operate a car, truck or other machinery in a fog/stupor/haze. I'm suggesting the same rules should apply as do for alcohol. Common sense, self-moderation and enforcement for DUI are key. We aren't a drunk, slobbering nation since Prohibition ended, so why should this be any different. Only, with alcohol, here are the con's: you can die from withdrawal (pot has no physical withdrawal), you can become addicted (pot has no physical addiction), alcohol can cause an increase in aggression (pot does the opposite, makes people calm, happy and less stressed). You never read news stories about the guy who came home from work and smoked weed then beat his wife nearly to death. It's that simple.

Apple Cider vinegar helps all those things, is legal, and cheaper...and it does't have any harmful side-effects.

Again I say... Please show me a scientific study conducted by an impartial third part where they have PROVEN that pot has ANY permanent, harmful, directly contributed side effects. Stop reciting what you see in anti-drug ads. Find hard evidence and present it. I'm not saying there aren't other worthy things to treat some or all of the things I've mentioned. I am only saying that the information widely available is mostly lies. You have to dig to find the MULTITUDE of scientific studies that repeatedly report that there are no side effects, physical addictive properties, risks of cancer or other major illness, or that it is even a gateway drug. I've seen the REPORTS prepared by non-scientists that point to incarceration rates of minors as the proof of addiction or gateway tendency. Their data is incomplete and the conclusions they draw are usually far-fetched and weak. Research. Look harder, deeper, in dark places. You will find that we've been LIED to for a century. I don't mind if the population doesn't want to partake. I don't mind if people have a problem with general intoxication as a concept. I just want the debate to take place with everyone on all sides having THE TRUTH to start with. Only then can the discussion be honest and the decisions be informed. Let's talk, but let's talk about the truth, not propaganda.

You don't see actual field studies because marijuana is (still) illegal to possess and no one in their right mind is going to go to jail or the ER or anywhere where they might get into trouble for using it and tell them that they are.

That is true, but did you know that the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT provides 300 high quality (nug) joints per month to certain people as part of a government program?? Did you also know that the pot used to make those joints is grown in two colleges on the gulf coast and the eastern seaboard? It's grown in one university and then sent to the other one to be rolled into cigarettes, then put in a tin and mailed to the program participants. So don't tell me there are no real studies. The studies commissioned by the U.S. GOVERNMENT were conducted by universities like Duke and Johns Hopkins. Other studies have been conducted in other countries like Canada, the UK and in Europe as well. Private pharmaceutical companies have done studies and even tried to synthetically duplicate the active ingredient so they can SELL us what we can't legally get on our own. The studies have been conducted since the 60's, maybe longer. In an earlier post, I gave the name of some studies to look up and even a documentary that has excellently sourced information that you can verify and corroborate. You won't be disappointed.

There are a few to choose from. Off the top of my head, I know of one by name. The La Guardia study. Done way back in the day, but still accurate. Watch the documentary "The Union: The business behind getting high". It lists MANY studies and other fact-check places you could get scientific information including the method of collecting data and how it is analyzed.

I don't enjoy using marijuana and don't find any health benefits to its use for me, personally. However, I have seen marked improvement in people with Bi-polar disorder and those with anxiety problems. I have known several people who completely got off of prescription painkillers using marijuana, so I'm in complete support of its legalization - both for medicinal use and enjoyment purposes.

I never really cared for it and I'm not interesting in putting any kind of smoke in my lungs. The thing that always turned me off about pot was you couldn't go anywhere or do anything without people worrying more about having pot to smoke and getting high. It was annoying!

Like Bill O'Reilly, I never touched marijuana, even when someone started passing a joint around at a private party. That's one of the reasons why I am still clear-headed today.
