If man evolved from monkeys and apes, why do we still have monkeys and apes?

Your understanding of the science is wrong.

Man didn't evolve FROM monkeys and apes. I don't understand what's so difficult about this concept that people still mix this up. Man and modern apes share a COMMON ANCESTOR. And further down the line, man and modern apes share a common ancestor with monkeys.

Your statement is like saying that I'm descended from my brother, when the correct comparison is to say that my siblings and I are descended from our parents.

That common ancestor is no longer alive today.

This country has a better educational system. We evolved from a common ancestor not directly from monkeys and apes. Don't they teach basic biology anymore?

I wish people would start reading and educating themselves, instead of asking suck stupid questions.

EVOLUTION was proven over 100years ago, There are no mission links. It has been proven mitocondrial DNA, Nothing can be for conclusive than that.

The fact that there are still apes shows that not all apses too the same evolutionary path.

Why do we still have amphibians and lungfish? Why do we still have monotremes? Evolution is the answer to how and not why.

98% of our DNA is exactly the same as the Bonobo monkeys.

Why would they disappear if other species evolved from theirs? You think these things supposedly happen overnight and there's a huge battle the next morning? XD

We didn't descend from monkeys or apes, but apes an humans evolved from a commen anscestor.

We didn't descend from monkeys and apes, in the first place.

Humans and primates evolved from a common ancestor, and the monkeys, apes and humans evolved concurrently.

Because evolution is not a linear progression of one species to another. One ape mutated slightly and reproduced and on and on down the line. Apes were still a valid and successful species, so they didn't die out. We still have single cell organisms as well, even though at one point in the past a single cell organism advanced beyond being a single cell.

Common misconception. Humans didn't evolve from monkeys and apes. Monkeys and apes as well as humans evolved from a similar like ancestor.
