Some anonymous person came up with this answer:

The professor of a university challenged his students with this question. "Did God create everything that exists?" A student answered bravely, "Yes, he did".

The professor then asked, "If God created everything, then he created evil. Since evil exists (as noticed by our own actions), so God is evil. The student couldn't respond to that statement causing the professor to conclude that he had "proved" that "belief in God" was a fairy tale, and therefore worthless.

Another student raised his hand and asked the professor, "May I pose a question? " "Of course" answered the professor.

The young student stood up and asked : "Professor does Cold exists?"

The professor answered, "What kind of question is that? ...Of course the cold exists... haven't you ever been cold?"

The young student answered, "In fact sir, Cold does not exist. According to the laws of Physics, what we consider cold, in fact is the absence of heat. Anything is able to be studied as long as it transmits energy (heat). Absolute Zero is the total absence of heat, but cold does not exist. What we have done is create a term to describe how we feel if we don't have body heat or we are not hot."

"And, does Dark exist?", he continued. The professor answered "Of course"...

Darkness is in fact simply the absence of light. Light can be studied, darkness can not. Darkness cannot be broken down. A simple ray of light tears the darkness and illuminates the surface where the light beam finishes. Dark is a term that we humans have created to describe what happens when there's lack of light."

Finally, the student asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?" The professor replied, "Of course it exists, as I mentioned at the beginning, we see violations, crimes and violence anywhere in the world, and those things are evil."

The student responded, "Sir, Evil does not exist. Just as in the previous cases, Evil is a term which man has created to describe the result of the absence of God's presence in the hearts of man."

After this, the professor bowed down his head, and didn't answer back.

Jesus is the Son of God - God in the form of man come down to offer himself up as the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of this world so that man can be saved and brought back into communion with God. I believe that God is in control of those things that are pre-ordained - a lot of those things are political as they will play a large part in bringing about the way this world ends and bringing about the fulfillment of end day prophecies. God has the ability to control anything he so choooses. So when does he so choose? I think that may be the power of prayer. I think perhaps God gets involved when one of his children asks him to get involved.

There is not a maverick molecule in the cosmos. God orders all things after the counsel of His own will (Ehesians 1:11). He is not the author of sin, but He is tolally in the action. Jesus' crucifixion was in acordance with the decretive will of God. It was brought to pass by wicked men. God can draw a straight line witrh a crooked stick. Right will ultimately win over wrong in history as well as in eternity. The knowlege of His glory will fill the earth as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14) through the power of the gospel followed by the whole counsel of God.(Matthew 28:18-20).

God created us with brains, & wills. Some choose debauchery, & evil deeds-then blame it on God & try to dupe people into believing it. He knows all things, but He says to pray that evil doesn't come upon us. It pays to pray to Jesus directly, not giving your money to some priest, or Mary to do it for you, which the Bible doesn't say to do.

In my opinion, Jesus is not in complete control of everything. He gave us free agency to act and choose as we saw fit. The world works through natural laws that he set up. He could force us to do things, but that is not his plan. We are responsible for our own actions whether we like it or not in the end.

He isn't in control of our free will, and there in lies the proverable fly in the ointment of your misunderstanding of who Christ is and what his porpose and relationship is to man. It was man who went about doing the things highlighted in the poll question, and they did those things apart form God and the teachings of Christ his son.

Say the Lord's Prayer out loud phrase by phrase slowly and think about the words. Then just be blown away by how that one prayer as short as it is seems to cover all the bases. In fact, I think the trouble we get in with our "free will" is covered by "and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil."

Perhaps a better way to state this is that God is in control of everything, but he doesn't always deem it in our best interest to exercise his control - he wants us to learn lessons while we are here, and if he constantly rescued us, we wouldn't learn a lot. But it's good to know he's there, and he can come to our rescue. I really think that the Lord wants us to be in a relationship with him, and that would include coming to him with our problems and with our world's problems and asking him to get involved.

I could be very bitter about this question and really go off because my only child died in his 20s, and it just left me so empty, and I was really upset with God and didn't understand why he allowed that to happen. The truth came to me one day like an epiphany when I was alone and thinking about it - "HIS WAYS ARE NOT OUR WAYS." I think people get in the most trouble and get the most confused about God when they assign human attributes to him when the Bible clearly states in a very concise way, "HIS WAYS ARE NOT OUR WAYS." When God doesn't do things like we would, we get upset.

The Lord has invested us in the life he gave us here. That means he gave us a playing field on which we could make the most glorious positive gestures as well as falling short. He doesn't step in in these cases because he would then be a puppet master and our existence would be a meaningless game. I believe he weeps when we choose poorly just as those of us who feel the pain of mans violence towards other men weep in these cases.

The world makes it own way. Jesus told his followers gow they should live and like a good father sent humanity off to find its own way. The crusaders and rapist will have to answer for there deeds.

We all have to learn for ourself, why do we need a person to whip like god or jesus when things go bad for us? we have to take control of what we feel and think, it is our own responsibility... We have both good and bad in everyone on this planet.... It has to grow up, we are all acting like childeren... Just look at false words in politics? it does not work and is fake to cover what is realy going on, we have dark dark people here on earth who rule it WAKE UP SMELL THE COFFEE and LOOK AT THE STATE OF THE WORD AND WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH NATURE (Man will destroy everything within 50 years YES) unless we pull together and kick out old government and release our need for greed then we all die, simple! hard fact.... Humans do not learn untill they are all threatened with something, then all of a sudden we want god!!!!! we all babies playing with little toys that mean NOTHING in life, we still have not learned what life is about either and weve supposidly been here for over 150,0000 and I know that MAN has destroyed this EARTH a few times over now, so where are we going?, we learn from fear where we should learn from love

God is not a tyrant and allows people to make their own decisions for themselves. Free will.

We Christians are not perfect like say an atheist and therefore need our Savior Jesus.

    PS.

The Crusades were in reaction to Christian lands being over run by the Sword of Muslimes

Satan is the god of the world.

    2 Corinthians 4:4
4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

Jesus did not create Catholicism. People did. What people do in the name of God, in the name of Allah is generally done "In the name of personal advantage" and has nothing to do with God. I thank God that Jesus was never a Catholic, that Mohamed was not a Muslim etc.

None of us understand why Jesus would allow things to happen. I have thought about that a lot. A whole lot. If he does come back, a ton of people will want answers to such things. I know I have a few questions.

It is very hard to understand God having total control but then allowing such awful things to take place. The ONLY thing I can think of is that God has given us free will and that includes making decisions to do horrible things.

Not only is Jesus not in control of everything. There is relay no proof that he ever existed aside from a name in record somewhere. And ay documentation on his life is based hearsay. Never the less let us assume that he actually existed. in that case if people had done as he suggested then all of this evil that is mentioned above would not have taken place. Jesus however never claimed that he controlled anything, as a mater of fact the control is in our hands no one Else's.

I am not an expert, but I do know a lot about Christianity. I do believe there is reason to believe Jesus did exist and die on the cross because it was recorded by 2 (if I remember correctly, there could be more) historians living at the time. These 2 were not bible authors. Please notice I am only speaking of his existence here on earth, nothing else.

Fair enough what you say may be correct and even if there were more records that could actually be verified I conceded that he may have existed. However there is just no direct record of the words he spoke. for all we know he was literate. because there are no transcripts of his writings. anything that does pertain to him is written second third or fourth hand and was cobbled together by vested interests some 350 years later. However whether the man existed or not hardly maters. the question was did he control everything. and the answer is no. He merely suggested a means of dealing with it.

The only record we have of Jesus words are from the bible. We are told the authors were "divinely inspired". Personally, I do not believe that means god somehow entered them and they were writing like today would be called channeled writing. I feel they were writing for a divine reason, to tell about Jesus. It is my personal belief that it is from memory which explains small differences written by the different authors.

I do not trust the Roman Catholic church. From their beginning until today they have not been trustworthy. This does not mean I don't have any faith in God. The Catholic church is full on human men that make bad decisions that are deplorable. There are men and then there is God. They are separate.

The problem is that the "New testament" that is the bible that has Christ in it is not a recognized continuation of the old testament as far as the authors of the "Old testament" The Jews, are concerned, The New testament is the result of the work of the church of Rome which is the forebear of the Roman catholic church,. All other christian religions are of shoots of that one church. When you consider that these gospels were written 350 years after the event I doubt if there is much in them that can be contented to provable reality. Never the les I remind you once again that The answer to my question was that if people followed the words of advice given by the fictional person of Christ , then the world would be a better place.

I concede that the person Jesus Christ may have existed However there is not a shred of evidence that he ever did anything. the best record we have of his life and times is in a group of story's put together some 350 years later. Besides as i said He was not in control the character depicted in the new testament merely sugests a way that we need to behave to make our lives and that of others better, no more. If we followed the code suggested, undistorted by religion we would not be suffering from the deliberate evils that beset the world. The same goes for the principles of Buddha.
