I don't want a family, never had much of a close relationship with my family either.

I'd like good friends, maybe someone I can be with, and then the ideal job that I want to do. That'd be enough for me.

I'd rather not be lonely, I'd rather have cute kids who I love and who I can have fun with, instead of working all the time and being stressed, plus you can be a housewife, all I'd need to do was fine a husband who works and can pay for my family, even though that sounds kind of selfish it isn't because I would actually rather have work than have my family starve and have them live with no shelter, so I'd want to get a husband with a good job so that I can still live a good life

No ever said on their death bed, " man, I wished I'd spent more time at the office". For that matter, no one ever says, "let me see my check book, or the keys to my car, or the diamond watch" as they are dying. They do say "I want to see my family, wife/ husband/ child one more time".

Yep! There are days I'd love a break but over all.. I think it was a great choice for me and my family. But I don't think everyone is cut out to do what I do.

have a family but I have a husband that's supported me for the last 37 years!
I have worked on and off for those years. I've been disabled from a car accident for the last 11 years. I have three wonderful sons and a precious 7 year old grandson. so praise God your question should have three responses! work, family or both!

If I HAD to choose, I'd have a family. My partner could work to support us. I'd probably keep going to school and get my PhD though because I'm never going to want to stop learning.

Since I suffer from depression (or something like that) I don't think having a family is a big deal. But my old Sunday school teacher said women should want to have kids.
Whatever, still don't want any kids.

I'd rather work. What I'm studying in college is extremely demanding and complicated, and not many people want to do it for that reason but it fascinates me nonetheless. I want to get my Master's and maybe even my PhD in this field so I'll need to dedicate a lot of time to this.
I've always wanted a very successful job and I realize that comes with a lot of sacrifices, but I've never wanted a big family anyway.

Haha thanks! It's basically the process of analyzing and tracking data and then using special computer programs to create maps/graphs/visuals from it to show what the data represents. I'd like to work for the CDC doing that.
Hopefully that makes a little more sense now! :)

If you don't work, you shouldn't be able to start a family. Sort of like if you don't work you don't eat. We all need to pull our load on this earth. I'm so tired of seeing half my pay go to support bums to lazy to work that want to pump out babies like we still live in the 12th century.
