Is every Brit an Amy Winehouse?

You may think I'm being silly, but please tell me how a lack of trust towards every Muslim makes more sense. I'd be thrilled to know. Thinking, Nadenken Pictures, Images and Photos

Sorry, I don't do the "love your enemy" stuff but I think you misunderstood my post or didn't read the second paragraph. Folks here (many) assume all Muslims are bad guys. I don't and usually make sport of those who do. I'm all for killing bad guys though.

Well, seeing as you referred to them as the embodiment of antichrist (actually in a biblical sense, they do deny the Christ, so they technically are) I assume you value the Christ and what he taught.

He taught to Love your enemy.

Don't worry, the left does it as much as the right. Don't you know all conservatives are paranoid Conspiracy nuts, secret racists and misogynistic homophobes?

Its not the Left or the Right that's guilty of this sort of behavior, its humanity as a whole.

    I apologize for my assumption.

I'm not convinced Beck is a Racist. I don't know about limbaugh because i admittedly am less familiar with his works than with Beck's.

To all those who claim Muslims of the world didn't condemn the act of terrorism. Here is a link that shows a partial list of Muslim organisations and individuals who did.

Just because it wasn't reported doesn't mean its not true....

like I said, 99.9% of all terrorists are Muslims, and guess why they do it? Because of Islam.

Oh I've no doubt that many terrorists commit horrific acts of terrorism because of Islam. But others do it for other reasons. We simply hear the most about Islamic terrorists. May I see your sources for your 99.9% figure, please? I'm sure you have several, to come out with such a high, seemingly absurd number!

Muslims don't kill in the name of Islam?
  • Captain... Conserv... 2010/11/17 12:50:47

They kill in the name of God, just like other organized religions. They're all the same, and all wrong.

the entire foundation of our nation was built on Christianity. All of the Founding Fathers were Christians, most deeply religious.

No. They were most definitely Christians. They said so in their own words numerous times.

Yes they were Christians. And as European Christians they were quite aware of what evils state religion can engage in. There was a very recent history of religious warfare between Protestant and Catholic nobles in England at the time.

WHICH IS WHY THEY DECIDED TO SEPARATE THE POWERS OF THE CHURCH FROM THE POWERS OF GOVERMENT.

actually, they only said that the federal government couldn't have a religion and that Congress couldn't force anyone to believe in a certain religion...school prayer is fine, creches are fine on government property, money to send kids to religious schools is fine...
  • Johnthe... Conserv... 2010/11/19 14:13:02

Would not a Christian prayer in a public school essentially be a promotion of the Christian faith, and thus establishing of the religion?

Secondly, would you be comfortable with a muslim cleric leading a muslim prayer in public schools? I sure as hell would not want my schools teaching my children Islam, so it would be hypocritical of me to want Christian prayers led by the government agency.

Imagine a publicly funded celebration of Ramadan on government property, would you be happy?

What about satanism, would you like inverted crosses on the pentagon lawn? Paganism, pentagrams on the white house in celebration of the equinox?

Its easy to be against separation when you are part of the popular religion. But assume for a moment you are a minority, and suddenly its a lot easier to see the wisdom of the separation.
