If Canada has better fiscal control than the US, does that prove that socialist nations aren't that dumb?

Americans view Canada as somewhat socialist. Yet Canada has suffered under the global fiscal "meltdown" far better than the US. How can that be? A socialist nation that's smarter than we are? God forbid.

I'm Canadian. Maybe you shouldn't listen to stereotypes about us. I wish some of you people would just come here and see that we are aren't that different from people in The United States. Canada is not perfect But What in the world Makes the U.S Perfect? Canadians ARE NOT DUMB. I beg to differ. Don't Generalize People like that.

The Dave Glover radio show, brought this up weeks ago, but he used China as an example. If China is a communist nation, and our capitalist system is sooo much better, why in the hell are we borrowing money from THEM ??! I'm sure you'll get an answer from someone on this site for sure. It'll probably be some right wing idiot, ranting on about OBAMA for 6 paragraphs, and not really an answer to your question, but you'll get it. Good Luck.

Communism has always proven to be a brutal system. I live in a former communist country. No one has good memories of that. It functions by being paranoid and keeping the people in line. I don't believe that the extremes of either end are actually good. We need a balance, but no one will ever talk about it.
