If a woman does not keep her legs and underarms shaven, does that mean she has bad hygiene?

I never thought I would have to ask a question like this

But I read a FaceBook post where a guy said this and he had several people agree with him.

So what do you guys think?

Nooooo...? Whoever said that is stupid. Most men don't shave either area, and that doesn't mean they have bad hygiene. It's just the same as any other hair, it's just become socially normal in many places for women to shave it off if they're going to expose that area. Now, if a woman didn't shave the area, and also didn't clean the area, then that's bad hygiene. And also, same goes for men.

it's a cultural thing and connected to what is considered to look attractive. If she washes she has good hygiene and hair has nothing to do with it. Men have hairy armpits and yet some of them have good hygiene ;)

If you think it's a problem, do yourself a favor: avoid going to Europe.

But I recommend both males and females depleting their body hair as much as possible regardless.

No, that is her "style"... if she dresses an ugly t-shirt doesn't mean she has bad hygiene, just that she has a bad style. I don't like a girl with hair in those places, but if my girl wanted it for a short time I wouldn't mind, for a short time...

As a society we have made the shaven pits and legs a necessity; but, it has nothing to do with hygiene.

But in our "western" culture it's considered nasty by most. Hair can be clean.

As long as she keeps them /clean/ it can still be hygienic. Shaving is up to her.

Wth does having hair have to do with hygiene at all? Sure, some guys don't like it, but that doesn't mean the woman is unclean.

If she doesn't bath and smells bad, then that means she has bad hygiene.
Shaving isn't exactly natural or required for our survival, if it was men would shave those parts too.
It's just a cultural norm and vanity thing. Some women don't follow that. Doesn't make them dirty any more than it makes a man with a beard dirty.
shave parts cultural norm vanity women dirty beard dirty beard

Not everyone has an extra half hour to spend shaving in the shower every day and some women have to shave every day to stay smooth. As long as one showers often enough to not stink it should be fine. Since I am a woman maybe my opinon doesn't count though, but I sure as helll can't spend 30 minutes of every day in the shower shaving.

Also, my take on it is someone who does shave, just doesn't always stay clean-shaven. I do know someone who doesn't shave at all, EVER and she is not dirty.

I don't view body hair as bad hygiene, not bathing regularly is more a bad hygiene thing in my mind. Underarm hair will start to smell after awhile if deodorant isn't used though. It's a smell thing with me I guess.
