Bigger yards are hard to come by in California...the houses built in the 1950s and earlier usually have bigger yards than the ones built in the mid 60s and later.

Old and outdated as you can see, kind of creepy at night too, I was told that it used to be the town jail in the early days, but its home and here is where I am happiest.

I don't think anyone would feel they were walking on eggshells here. It's cozy.

An utter and total wreck at the moment... what with a new puppy tearing stuff up.... a couple of lazy bums that can't migrate their dishes to the sink on the same day they are used.... and DIY remodeling projects.... it's a wreck... and I either need massive amounts of energy or a maid just to keep up with it all.... hopefully soon though it will be a warm, loving, and welcoming place to be... :D

All of the above. When my husband was transferred here he purchased an old Church and Parsonage. The parsonage was later used as a school house for Bible study and now we live in the parsonage. It is different than most homes and missing all those extras but we have made it home, fun, loving, welcoming and relaxing just the same. I am looking forward to moving one day to something a little nicer and further south if possible.

I just bought it recently and am still working on it. Just now getting the chance . It's not real big but wide open w high ceilings , so it makes it a little chilly in the winter & an energy hound. These days I get to watch the glaciers sliding down across my skylights. I may sell soon & go south.

Cozy and eclectic! Bird's nests I find on the ground, an old brass school bell, dried seed pods I think are beautiful, art supplies, Grandma's purse hanging on the wall and tons of dog toys.

People tend to like my house, it is big open floor plan with a deck that runs the entire length of the house. We have 10 acres behind us, so we have all kinds of critters that visit us. We have a big fireplace, and the kids love to hang out in that room, could be because I cook a lot, and the room is open to the kitchen. lol

I am happy to be here, but I consider myself a temporary resident. Attachment to possessions is pretty low on my list of priorities.

Just a tiny duplex rental that needs more windows, light and less traffic. Looking forward to 2012 being the year where I can once again buy something that meets my requirements.

because most that come to our house say it's so welcoming and warm. It's also fun. Every room a different color and fun things to do.
