I agree, as a woman who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, all my life I have sought to be treated the same as others. I have not asked for favors, nor expected them. I do not think anyone should.

An old friend, a wise old friend, once put a thought in my head. I considered it, and I understand and agree. I will have NO sympathy for most situations. I will, however, have EMPATHY!

I'd like to see the day when the poll question is supportable. But I've seen reality and we're just not there yet.

    Bingo....

Hey I got a minute now...

I have a friend that almost got attacked by 3 white guys in a mall. He was getting off work and walking out of the mall when these 3 white guys started calling him all sorts of names.

He ducked into a pizza shop, asked the clerk for a knife and came out telling them that one of them would die if the attacked.

They ran off, but that's one life example.

Now if you google KKK 2011, click on the videos and take a listen to what still exist.

Wow, if someone went into a shop and asked for a knife, I don't think there are many people who'd actually hand one over, but I'm glad those idiots didn't harm your friend in the end.

People in the KKK and those who support them really need to seek therapy.

Okay I read your story, and I read/hear stories all day long also about black/hispanics who commit crimes. Am I to assume that all are criminals? I don't and I won't. For your information. Yes the KKK exist, so does the black panthers and the mexican mafia etc. Not everyone belongs to these groups. As a white woman (well actually half native american) when I see other races, I do not assume they are out to harm me. When I see groups like KKK I am ashamed.

Well these white guys that tried to attack my friend were soldiers. So no, I don't assume or group people by skin color... The point of that story I mention was more about racism existing...

It just so happens that racist in the klan sound plenty like conservatives... at least with talking points. Just like I'm sure black panthers sound simaliar to liberals. It's just that you don't see a lot of black panthers down here in the south.

    hmm ...

What about SUPPORT for ANY Human Being .. no matter what .. who is all about RESPECTING Their Fellow HUMAN Beings ... treating each other with Equality .. seeing each as worthy!

I've always been disgusted by ... well .. (for lack of a better term) 'looks' or 'boxes' being checked as 'qualifiers' .. to me that is a Form of INSTITUTIONALIZED, Government Sponsored Discrimination ...

Let's just GET RID of this last bastion of discrimination .. and let EVERYONE be held to the SAME Standard .. one which values the RESPECT of their Fellow Human Being .. their lives .. the equality that .. should be there in the first place!

Many assume the procees to achieving equality is thought to be preferrential treatment...when the quest infringes on what some believe is their territory, the the difference between the quest for equality fades and those people think its preferential.....
