I need to settle settle something. Does anybody outside of the USA even care about our elections?

Okay, so I was having this conversation. Apparently everyone cares about our elections. Now, the way I think about it, if I lived in another country, I would not care about our elections, but since I never have lived in another country, I lack that perspective. So I want opinion on it.

Sad to say, and no I don't think highly of my country, but I do think that whatever happens in the US political battle greatly affects the world as a whole (economy, relations, wars, etc...).

This poll needs more or at least better options. There's an entire organization in Ireland that takes bets on anything, the U.S. Presidential Election included. Foreign governments want a head of state that they can at least work with if not one who is friendly towards them.

The USA exports a lot of things, including economic, financial, and political ideas.

The architect of the Euro, economist Robert Mundell of Columbia University, is from the United States for example.

I'll bet. I can't believe how much hatred there is between democrats and republicans. I mean, yes there are obviously different political parties in my country, but we don't seem to get quite as riled up over it. And as much as I dislike my Prime Minister, I'd never make ridiculous comments about him similar to the ones I see made (in all seriousness, aparently) about Obama. "Obama is the antichrist" WTF? Give me a break!
