I need to get a small Christmas gift for 60 nursing home residents (50 ladies 10 men) approximately 15 diabetics total. Any suggestions????? Last year it was cologne for both sexes along with candy regular & sugar free and a throw blanket.

You can never go wrong with throw blankets, they are so useful and can be cute too.

These go for about 4 to 5 dollars a piece, And no battery's required, I always had fun with them, But it don't take a lot to humor me either,

Check the local outlet stores or nearest big box for bargains. Just on a whim I picked up a very soft (washable polar fleece) lap robe for my Mom and she loves it. There were a million of them in a big bin @ either Kmart or Walmart (but probably @ other places, too) and they were only $3. They were seasonal (snowflakes, etc.) but not religious. They like large print word search books (found some at the $1 store), deluxe facial tissue, hand lotion (like with shea butter or aloe), lip balm, and little packs of greeting cards. Sometimes these go to other residents and employees for birthdays and holidays so they use more cards than stamps. I thought that it would be a good idea to stick a stamp on each envelope -- but it turned out it wasn't. If you give stamps, it's better to include just a few loose ones in a packet of cards.

How about just get a card and a toothbrush...toothbrushes need to be changed every couple of months...so there is always a use for one.

I want to make smile and a toothbrush is very practical and a great idea but I don't think it will make them smile. Please keep sending any idea's my way. Thanks

How much are you going to spend?

I'd like to keep it to about $400 total so about $6.50 or less per person. It really hard to find things for that price, so any ideas are appreciated

What about a group present, like a performance of some kind. A children's group sing christmas carrols, a play or entertainment of some kind.

The other suggestion is because some have diet restrictions would be fruit baskets. You could make them up yourself. They could be relatively cheap.
