Try to meditate. That might help some. Also, when things like that start happening, say Wu-Sa. It's supposed to be the most calming word or something.

There have been many medical developments in treating Schizophrenia, However it is commonly mis-diagnosed like Bi-polar disorder. I suggest you seek medial help from doctors, not here on sodahead.

I have help from doctors, I just didnt have access to the medication at the moment and was alone. I thought it would be okay for just a while because I don't have issues with it very often but I guess I was wrong.

Get EVERYTHING DANGEROUS to you, or others OUT OF THE HOUSE/AREA! Knowing you have an ABNORMAL BRAIN FUNCTION, the RESPONSIBLE thing would be to SAFE GUARD YOUR & OTHERS SAFETY & stay off the News.

Article i read this in awhile back. Kind of makes sense on an intuitive level. As for seeing a psychologist I don't know what your situation is. Meds can screw you up even worse sometimes though.

Try talking back to the lights. Some people manage to get the voices to shut up that way.

N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) reduces symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Typical doses are 1200 to 2400 milligrams per day of NAC.

The natural forms of folic acid can help with this too. Folinic Acid or L-5 Methyl & Formyl-tetra-hydro-folate.

As well as the natural or active form of B12 called Methylcobalamin.

So the two things that help are natural forms of the methyl-donor B vitamins and antioxidants. NAC increases the body's endogenous antioxidant, glutathione

I recommend you pay a visit to your physician and describe to him/her what you have here. They can refer you to a neurological/psychological specialist that can help.

    Hi Lydecho,

Do a Google search on Dr. Abram Hoffer who was a pioneer in helping schizophrenics to get well naturally. My heart goes out to you. I met the woman who is speaking on the video. She told he her son would see people crawling across the road when he was trying to drive. He is now well.

It really started when I was around 15 or maybe even 14 which is strange because child and adolescent schizophrenia is rather rare, but it wasn't bad mostly just a few delusions and slight auditory hallucinations but it gets worse over time for me. Hopefully the medicine helps.

That would suck :( I really think my sister's delusions is just hallucination from not sleeping, cause she has a fear of sleeping (much like me, but I have a schedule I need to be on most of the time) and I myself have heard things not real. Once we had bad roaches when I was young, and I would hear the word "roach!" non stop every night before going to sleep! It was weird and I was scared to sleep cause of it, and even sometimes when I'm tired and forcing to stay up, if tired enough, I will hear things not there and it's scary :(

most people who get this illness are in their 20's.
ironically after you turn 30 it is called alzheimer's. it is practically the same illness, so do seek help for it before it is to late.
you seem to be very sweet and smart girl, so I would hate for the world to loose you
    I ment this for lydecho

Isn't Alzheimer's a memory disorder? I don't really have trouble with memories, since I can remember most things that happen to me if they are at all significant.
