I have been dying to ask this question and get a responce. WHY do people who spend $30,000-$80,000 on 4x4 and humvee's stop and come to a crawl to enter a parking lot with a little bump at the entrance?

It's not just people that drive big cars.. People in general just can't drive, nor does anyone seem to give a dam about anyone around them.. People that drive slow is one thing, but people that can't park is another.. Or those that seem to just slam open their door then ding the side of your car... I was waiting in the parking lot one day, and there's tons of spaces open, but this lady drives right next to me and just slams open her door hits my car then starts walking away... I get out look and my car is dented.. I stop her and she's like sorry, I'm in a hurry... She ended up having to pay since I called the cops and got it reported.. It was a mess, but it was still like $600 in damage... People just don't care these days..

Some lady did that to a guy I know in a supermarket parking lot. He got so pissed he picked up a shopping cart & put it on the hood of her car & walked away as she stood there screaming in disbelief ! ....

They also don't know how to park those massive behemoths... I get so angry watching them first crawl through a parking lot and then back up and go forwards a thousand times. The kicker is they still end up encroaching on the other parking spaces. These monster vehicles are status symbols, nothing more..

I've often thought that with the women it's because they have no idea how big the SUV really is or how to handle it. They know nothing about the turning radius, the brakes, nothing. They drive them because they're status symbols, and they're safe family vehicles. Most of them are probably lousy drivers too. My kids both took lessons from a private driver's training school, and I retaught them lots of stuff. I told them that what the instructor was telling them was obviously what they needed to know in order to pass the test, but in order to be good drivers, they'd be better off listening to me and to my father (and not to their own father).

I'm always super considerate of other drivers, and unless the guy behind me has been pissing me off, I'll scoot round the corner quickly. I guess I can get away with it 'cause I have the smallest turning circle ever, but really there's no need to ever slow to an almost halt just to get around a 90 degree corner.

Have you notice this or is it just me. I can deal with a sports car (low to the ground) or a little old lady but GD they spend a fortune on these things for the beefed up suspention and then crawl over a 2"bump.
