My mom just asked me to pray for her, she meant to pray the her God, Yahweh. She does not know I am pagan, I don't want to tell her over the phone, do I pray to my gods for her, or what?

You pray to whatever gods you choose. Whether it is prayer to her god, or yours, or positive energy sent her way, it is the thought that counts.

When you pray for your mom, it doesn't matter whose god you pray to. When your prayers come from your heart and love for your mom, that's all that matters.

Positive energy and intervention from healing sources know no religion. These enitities, this life force has always been, and will always be. It doesn't care what face, name or any other characteristic we use to help us envision it. It's all the same. When you pray using pagan images they are glad to appear to her as the Jewish or Christian ones she's more familiar with. It's all good.

I would tell her that you will pray to your god(ddess)(s) for her, and leave it at that…

    Blessings to all and,
May all be well with you ^_^

pray to your own god for her, but don't tell her. It'll come across the same way for whatever help she's asking for. It isn't what god you pray to that matters, it's that your intentions are good.

You can chose to tell her whatever you want. However, you can send her loving thoughts of healing, peace, wholeness and visualize her as a healthy, vibrant human being. As long as you do this with conviction and true sentiments, there is no difference between that and "prayers"

you should pray to whatever god you choose. I believe it is the power of the mind that gives prayer it's power and if you pray to a god you do not believe in, it looses it's power. You should always stay true to yourself.

I'm afraid in the end you shall be sorely disappointed. BUT, I'd pray to her God. Your Gods are false Gods and have no power. Even if you ethically are doing it just for your mother there will be a response for her...............( If it is time her death can be positive, remember this)............... Good Luck in your quest for God.......... Please Note you have around you presently the most horrid spirits in the Universe. Satan's plan until your death is to keep you away from the KJV Bible

Thank you for caring enough to witness. And as a Christian if you could pray for her too that would be great, she may need even more divine encouragement when I do tell her that I am no longer a Christian but instead follow the forn sedr

Christians stole many symbols from Pagans and other religions so don't even talk about false gods when YOUR religion can't even stay original.

Be true to yourself, whatever that means to you and if that means pray to your gods, well then, that's what you do.

Good luck with that. I never told my parents.

You can't pray specifically to her god if you don't believe in Him/Her, but since you don't absolutely know her God, offer a quick "If you're out there, please care for Mom." How long could that take?

I think you don't have to tell her you are following the Pagan way unless you want to. As for praying for her, prayer is nothing but communication with your higher power. Good thoughts and asking for help in any situation could never harm . . .

That's true, o guess I was worried if it would be disrespectful of me to offer sacrifice, or a casting when to her mind it is a sin.

You pray to your gods for her. Prayer is in ones mind, it's not a written letter that gets mailed. If you believe it works, the words have power and substance. It doesn't matter which god you are talking to. When/if she asks you don't have to lie, you just say I did pray for you.
