why thank you! I got a new wee doggie for my birthday. It was rescued by a group I hang out with that plucks dogs from kill shelters. I'm normally a large dog person, but boy, this little schnauzer-type scruffy-looking thing is lighter than my cat, but is already fitting in (after only 1 day) and has such a personality. Ah well... at least it won't be expensive to feed it!

That's wonderful. I'm a real dog person. Lost my best friend a year ago next month and still have a hard time with it. He was a large breed dog (which I'm partial to). He was a Shiloh Shepherd and weighed in at 145 lbs. He looked almost exactly like this one:



I hope you and your new addition become the best of friends and thanks for rescuing him (or her). I help may friend and his wife with their rescue group and have seriously been thinking about getting a pal from them but I had such a great relationship with my Shiloh that I keep going back that direction. He was the most intelligent and loyal dog I ever had and truthfully (other than my wife) was my best friend. Have fun with your new buddy and again have a happy birthday.

I hope you come to a place where you can accept a new friend. In time you will be ready. Let us know when you find the next love of your life and we can all fawn over it... luv flaca XX
