I am getting a bit tired of these loaded questions.

It seems like certain hot topics are asked to pin and mount an agenda without really wanting to get a genuine perspective on what others think. Why bother?

+1You're right, loaded questions are infantile, moronic and puerile. Life is full of grey areas, but most questions don't reflect that. Some people simply want to see their own opinion duplicated and returned to them 1000 times over. These cowards abhor any healthy discussion or civil exchange of views. They crave slavish conformity with their views. That makes them feel warm and fuzzy. How superficial?Furthermore, they are cowards. They will BLOCK you at the slightest suspicion of dissent, or if they are intimidated by your intellect. I have never blocked anybody on SH and I never will. Have you ever blocked??reply - CharlesG BN-0 2011/06/22 19:32:22

+2I agree, I read first; if the question is loaded for baiting, I pass!reply -
+1I didn't understand that initially. You live, you learn. ;)reply - Auntie M Razzy R... 2011/03/31 15:50:31
+2I didn't either, but I caught on pretty fast after getting insulted and bashed for actually giving my respectful opinion. That happened in my first week here, so I was more careful after that. Now, if I wade in, it is with full knowledge of what might happen.reply -
+1Full metal jacket sometimes, eh?reply - Auntie M Razzy R... 2011/03/31 15:57:29
+2Naw, I still skip the really "designed to provoke" posts, but sometimes do decide to answer a fairly worded question by someone who most likely doesn't really want to hear my opinion! Or I reply, as you do, to socks who come in off-topic just to bash/bait.reply -

+1Loaded questions are kind of irritating. It's still called 'free speech', whether we like it or not. I usually post a comment with a link, or an easy to find quote, and STILL get bigoted comments and name calling. Usually, the ones who claim to be 'open minded' are the ones who are demanding acceptance for some form of perverted and/or illegal behavior.reply -
+1I think anyone has a right to their opinion. My problem is when someone politely has something to interject into the argument they are attacked by a ravenous pack of hyenas and torn limb from limb and called names. It is easy to get sucked in, but why do it? It's counterproductive.reply - Wittler 2011/03/31 08:28:24
+3It's sad to see this site being used as peoples personal soapbox. I want to discuss and learn other opinions and beliefs but I feel like I can't when most discussions turn into giant echo chambers where anyone who disagrees is ganged up on. The darnedest thing is though, I wouldn't mind their intolerance and ignorance if they at least varied what they said but its all the same.reply -
+1And lock and load and lock and load.......infinity. I feel you.reply - Solomonster 2011/03/31 07:06:17
+2For real. I also hate getting loaded questions while debating. Being asked a question that they have an idea of what your answer is all ready going to be so they can hammer away at your reply in attempt to make you look stupid. See I came here looking for guidance on my views. I intend to take control (within my tribe at 1st that is) but I know that people have to want me in control for that to happen. I'm not always right and I know that, so I come here to get opinions on all matters in hopes to break down my own walls so I can be a "Leader for the people" and not a "Leader of the people". It does get difficult to put up with. That's for sure.reply -
+2It is a positive thing to come and learn how other people think outside of our circle of friends and family, good for you. How else are we going to broaden our horizons and views on different topics? We don't come into this world with political, social or religious beliefs, these things come with time and personal knowledge and truth. I don't get all the hate. It serves no purpose. It ends up being like you described, an ambush in the guise of a debate. Ugh.reply - Solomon... Razzy R... 2011/03/31 07:21:26
+3Well hey. Be my friend. I don't come up with a lot of questions. But maybe you could help "police" my questions? I really look for actual answers when I ask them. And it's a lot easier to get real replies if it doesn't seem loaded to begin with. Ya down? I admit out right that not everything I do is graceful. But it could be fun.reply -
Sure. As you can see by my photo, I am not exactly the most proper chick on SH. I respect you looking for answers. That is what we all should be doing. Diplomacy is hard to learn and I am not the best at it, but maybe we could help one another. Sounds like a plan.reply - Solomon... Razzy R... 2011/03/31 07:26:11

Thank you!reply - sd *TROUBLE* 2011/03/31 06:59:43
+3I agree. Its frustrating too see how biased some polls are worded on here, especially the political ones.reply -
+2It is sickening. Why ask? Seems like a bunch of bullies banding together to show everyone else that does not agree with them just how stupid or ignorant they are. Nobody is interested in looking at things from another angle. Don't they know they can do that without compromising their beliefs? I guess we should be grateful we don't get it, right? ;)reply - sd *TRO... Razzy R... 2011/03/31 07:09:30 (edited)
+2Yeah haha. Its like if you just want to spew hate and bash people who disagree with you, start your own blog or something! sodahead should be for those who are curious and want to learn about other people and there opinions, not bash every single person who disagrees with their viewpoint.reply -
+1I think they get off on it in some power tripping way. It is kind of abnormal.reply - lrb 2011/03/31 06:23:01
+4I understand your frustration. It's difficult to create a truely open and balanced question when you have a strong opinion on the subject as many of us here do. I am mostly frustrated with polls that don't allow for opinions out of a very limited range. And Undecided, None of the above, or Other option would help alot and give a person a chance to express their opinion without selecting a poll choice that they really don't agree with.reply -
+1Agree. The choices given are often very black and white. Not much in between. It is almost as if there is some strange movement towards extremist thinking on both sides.reply - lrb Razzy R... 2011/03/31 12:29:56
+2LOL. Extremist thinking, perish the thought. :)reply - Feria~THEZombieSlayingB!tch... 2011/03/31 06:20:44
+2Because people are so close minded, they can't think of anything else but hate.reply -
+1Ugh, too bad. I honestly thought this site was about yes, voicing your opinion, but also getting other perspectives. I was grossly mistaken.reply - Feria~T... Razzy R... 2011/03/31 06:24:23

+1I have interacted with some very cool and open minded individuals on here that is true. It just gets frustrating to hear all the poison in between. Funny, I am not an overly sensitive person, but it is kind of tiresome.reply
