You already know that
"Hunger Games" is one of the hottest (perhaps
the hottest) movies coming to theaters in 2012. But did you know it's inspired a line of nail polish? Pictures of the colors were leaked and the nail polish line was nearly called off, Fashionista reports.
But guess what? It's back on! The line will launch on March 1, three weeks before the film’s opening, Styleite reports. Here is a photo of the new "Hunger Games" palette, called "Colours From the Capitol":
We're going to come right out and admit that we have not read "The Hunger Games," so we really don't know what all the fuss is about. We know that the movie is based on Suzanne Collins' 2008 young adult novel -- the first book of the "Hunger Games" trilogy -- but that's about it.
Well, according to Wikipedia, it's a sci-fi action drama that takes place in the ruins of what was once North America. The nation Panem chooses one boy and girl, ages 12-18, from the 12 districts to risk their lives in the Hunger Games, a ruthless competition in which each contestant attempts to kill the others until only one remains, winning honor, gifts and enough food and supplies to never worry for anything material again.
What this has to do with nail polish, we really don't know. But do you like the shades?

Awkward.
xDD
We all know what the Hunger Games stand for, and that it's horribly ironic and sort of missing-the-point to make a fashion line out of it. But they still came out with some good shades, and I might actually buy my first set of nail polish here.
